Even if rumors or the creators may have mentioned that Sonic's "friends" would be present in the new game, it's unlikely they will be part of the main story. I simply cannot imagine myself in any of those level designs.

It's more likely that we will be present in the multiplayer option, if at all. I'm leaning towards the possibility that we will not be included at all. It appears most players simply enjoy playing as Sonic and having at most Tails by his side.

That's fine with me. I'd rather not have to be involved with that blue hedgehog...

Quite amusing, Mun... You can't control me, so you place me in a game that you think can. The constant surveillance, the knowledge that the government could turn on me at any moment... It's quite a drop from "Lord of Medoria," I admit. But if you honestly think that I'll be content as just another - admittedly rich - citizen, you're very much mistaken.

Perhaps I won't be able to find the information I wish for, to slip off world and conquer some other planet for myself. The makeshift shackles of the Capitol surveillance will almost certainly prevent me from working my personal brand of control over the environment.
