OC getting used to The Games.

Quite amusing, Mun... You can't control me, so you place me in a game that you think can. The constant surveillance, the knowledge that the government could turn on me at any moment... It's quite a drop from "Lord of Medoria," I admit. But if you honestly think that I'll be content as just another - admittedly rich - citizen, you're very much mistaken.



Perhaps I won't be able to find the information I wish for, to slip off world and conquer some other planet for myself. The makeshift shackles of the Capitol surveillance will almost certainly prevent me from working my personal brand of control over the environment. But we both know that I've never needed magic to work that control over those closer to me.

You've placed me on a world where the people are seen as little more than chattel, mun. You've given me incentive to do whatever I need in order to protect myself and mine. If you honestly think that will keep me out of trouble, you're even more deluded than I dreamed.

How long do you think it will be before I claim the first tribute as my personal "pet"? Or even another citizen? I won't date any of them. We both know I'm incapable of feelings like that. But I will make them mine.

One way or anther, Mun. We both know this is only the beginning.

If you need either, they're not really pets. Just animals you've chained up because you're too scared to deal with them.

I treat people as they allow themselves to be treated. You'd be surprised how many people are perfectly alright with it.

The Capitol likes to rule through fear, from my understanding; and while keeping order by threatening to kill everyone anyone ever loved might be efficient, it's rather... messy for my tastes. Not to mention that tendency to revolt the moment they think they have a chance for success.

Power given freely, on the other hand, is far easier to keep. ...Besides which, I've never really liked murder.

And the point was that he couldn't control me simply by dropping me in the games.
