[The richly carved wooden armchair appears empty at first. A small matching table beside it holds a half drunk glass of wine and a still burning cigarette in a crystal ashtray. The chair creaks, and there is a heavy male sigh from nowhere.]

She wants me to...socialize. The Nosferatu do not socialize, except among our own. My own tendency to entertain other Kindred in my Haven is a curiosity to my people on its own. [He takes up a dusty bottle and pours.]

They should be talking to the Toreador if they want such things. But ironically, the one pestering me holds that Clan in disdain.
I understand that maintaining the Masquerade is less important when we are actually visiting another world, but if people can travel between worlds, so can information. I am not concerned for myself, but the young ones.... [A brief, sad smile.]
