That actually has precedent. A stealth spy for Equestria had an invisible cutie mark that was only visible under the light of bioluminescent crystals.

They grow in the Everfree Forest, but thankfully Canterlot has harvested them to test for various medical conditions and cutie marks. You could write to the mayor of Canterlot and explain that you'd like a test with crystals. It costs a small fee, though.
