can_fall_no_lowerYou've taken me from my work, that's what. It's not a very wise decision given you're human and therefore I am destined to hate you from the outset, but you seem at least marginally less vicious than the standard one (for now, at least), so I will attempt to maintain some manners dealing with you for the moment.
[His eyes shift from vaguely red-brown to a dark, reflective black, one that hides emotion rather well. It's an instinctive reaction, not a conscious one.]
You can never possibly understand what it's like to be in my position. You are literally plunging me into my worst nightmare simply by putting me here, let alone a 'game'. (Although I suspect that's your point, given your species.) I don't have time for games. If I wanted to relax I'd do what I always do in my off hours and go read or watch something interesting. Even if all the entertainment is old, it's at least culturally relevant and pleasant. Throwing me to the humans will be nothing but an exercise in patience. All they know is death and violence, hatred and flashes of emotion they can't or won't control.
Quite frankly I'd expect them to murder me even if I could pass for one. It's just how they are. This is why I need to get back to my work. We're on the verge of getting rid of humanity forever. We're about to be able to breathe a sigh of relief for the first time in nearly seventy years. Things are finally going to be better, gods willing, and you choose this point to take me from? Why? I'm not going to fall prey to any human tricks and I'm not going to fight them in their barbaric physical way that involves so much touch it's obscene. I am not your puppet. I am also not going to change. I refuse to. (Why would I want to be anything like you monsters?)
So this effort to murder me, or whatever sick purpose your mind undoubtedly has behind putting me out here, is pointless. Your people tried killing mine, remember? Remember how you had to hit us blindly to do it? I'm not blind like my ancestors. I see what you're doing. And I'm not going to fall for it. Gods preserve me if I have to continue to put up with your interference. I'll admit it's distracting enough to work as a diversion. (Thankfully there will always be other people on the project. You can't stop the inevitable, 'mundane'.)
[His eyes turn a soft blue for a bit as he mulls it over, voice softer, disconcerted.] I'd heard your kind looked similar, but without those eyes and those insane hair colors, you almost look like people. Real people, I mean.
