She had thought maybe it was a hummingbird--strange enough considering she'd only ever seen one in a book before, since they don't live in her part of the world--but on closer inspection it was more like a cross between a hummingbird and a dragonfly. Was that even genetically possible?

I'm just concerned. There are a lot of awful creatures here. Are you alone? You should try to find someone you know here... although I've noticed this place is overwhelming filled with humans and few real people.
