Dearest Mundane,

I have no disagreement about the change in my face. I can see where the resemblance was found from the artwork you've shown me. I did cut a dashing figure in my day, just as I do now.

As for bringing me back to these places, I suspect we might work well together as you've done this for Reinette and her mundane. Working for their better good can only be beneficial for all involved.

All I ask is that we avoid these so called games in which you dally. Being rescued by her lonely angel is one thing. Being sent to these prisons and hells on Earth is something else entirely. Avoid those and I think we shall get along quite well.

A bit, yes. My Lady's companion assisted me in coming to modern times.

Modern for her, I imagine. So what do you make of it?

I'm quite enjoying it, so long as it remains these nightclubs and wondrous ladies and not the horrible places my mundane sends some.

In my experience, the things aren't terribly good at remaining. Still, there must be some balance possible? Any place that might... interest you, if not permit much in the way of comfort?

Of all I have heard, they are rather designed to make my life miserable. Likely she will give up on the thought, leaving me where Reinette is. It is my understanding that is why she brought me back.

Oh? How likely? If you're right, good for you. Always nice to be somewhere with a friendly face.

I am not as well suited for many of these things as many she has. What would be the point of sending me to my death?

Well, they do generally have safe guards against that. Permanently, at any rate.

So resurrection. I'm not certain that is something I would like to experience. Time and again, possibly.

I shouldn't blame you if you didn't. It's hardly pleasant.

I do believe politeness benefits me in this. Especially as I've heard how little they listen to those that yell and demand.

Something about taking great glee in doing the opposite.

It sounds quite noisy where you are. Do they know no better?

She seems well devoted to engaging in as many liaisons with those like myself as she can. Most of them are neither gentlemen, nor raised with the sort of manners I would expect. Quite a few of them are monsters in every sense of the word.

I can only hope for you things are better than that.

She is respectful enough, if somewhat neglectful. And I cannot object to the company. But it is hardly what I am accustomed to.

I used to do so much more.

My mun is quite fond of yours, so I will assume it much as I am fond of you. That said, you have been missed.

I am absolutely certain the affection is returned.

Though I confess I feel slightly out of step. Too many days shut away.

Perhaps the answer to that is that we get you back out there, ensure you aren't shut away as best we can.

Not all of them are as bad as you're making them sound.

Oh I'm most certainly not saying they are. Reinette's is quite charming from my understanding.

My own did allow me to return, though she has rather a reputation for cruelty towards some of her more favoured muses.

I was talking about the games, but that too. Mine isn't terribly nice all the time either. Complains a lot, too.

The games seem to be designed for maximum discomfort. Trapped to pay off debts. Odd worlds where people are seeking to kill you. Zombies.

The last I'm quite concerned over, and intrigued by.

Oh, that is concerning. And intriguing.

I've been kidnapped to help fight a war, myself.

That seems an honour though, Sir. Do you not think the same?

Not particularly. Did you miss the kidnapping bit? Would have gladly helped if they just asked. I'm gonna help anyway, but you know, some courtesy would've been nice.

I was picked up in that blue box and disappeared from my very world and I'm sure many might well have called it kidnapping. [Though he didn't. Not in the least.]

I'm not sure I am bothered by the idea of some kidnapping. Had a man not invaded my homeland on peace and not war, I would have lost both my Reinette and my chance at all I've had.

Manners are something lost by many in modern times, it seems. I suppose forgiving them is all we can do sometimes.

Maybe it depends on the kind of kidnapping, then. I don't think I like any of them much. Manners change overtime, too.
