Never mind, I guess, you'll be back, most end up coming back I think, at least once or twice in their life. It's hard to stay away, I mean, you start getting addicted and sooner or later you're a regular instead, and then your old partners are all "oh, yeah, we miss you so much!" and you're just going to miss it. You'll be back in no time!

In the mean time though, not really sure about you playing me. I mean sure you were part of me for like...four and a half years, but now you don't have the inside scoop. Do you even remember drink recipes? Drive-thru times? It's probably changed so much since you left, you can't expect me to stay the same forever, am I right? Maybe if you keep an eye on the gossip blogs. Still don't think that'll do it, though! You gotta keep up!

I see you've decided Miss Mun. Not that I am in any place to question your reasons, but I must admit I'm a little curious as to why I was the one you chose. The others seem to fit better into the archetypes you traditionally pick up. Even Miss Sakura would be a far better match.

In any case, I am glad for you decision and I hope we can get along. It would be a shame to see the work you've done so far go to waste. And I see you are already looking at a game for me. At the suggestion of a friend, correct?

For one thing, I am not sharing anything with someone who goes 'aye aye aye' all day. Second thing; that he's a "bag of crazy cats" does not make him all that endearing. It just makes him a "bag of crazy cats" with an elektra complex. Why? I don't know...but...maybe because he has big daddy issues? You did see the huge tantrum he threw about being adopted, right? Froze a couple people, broke a bridge, yadda yadda...

Don't get me wrong. I don't mean we should shove him off the trademark wagon. Just...keep him and his bag of crazy catness far away from the Prince Pedestal. In fact, I'm all for shipping him off to the Princess side, since I'm sure 'Punzel would love another fellow princess to share girl talk and brush one another's hair. Hey. He'd fit right in. He can even join the princesses who have kids. That mermaid princess can talk about her kid and then he can talk about his eight-legged foal.

Oh, that's another issue I want to mention. Maximus is already a pain in the rear. I'm sure that pretty frosty princess is an even bigger pain in the rear. So they should never, ever, ever meet, because the last thing I need is a half-god horse running around with Maximus's temperament and that crazy prince's craziness.

Again. "Bag of crazy cats" doesn't sell the idea.

Okay, look, see, first you've got a midwinter ritual, an obvious Christian allegory, but do you see any god there? No, you don't, because it's been shifted to a founding myth. When the people drift away from one object of worship, one way of keeping them dutiful and subservient, you find another. Like Romulus and Remus, but with the divinity implied - the country takes the place of God.

Obviously it's not all gone. There's some divine power ascribed to the pegasi, the soldier class. It's possible that there wasn't an outside enemy to fight, possibly they were all conquered or driven out, so they had to claim control over the weather to justify continued tribute from the agricultural class. But the ruling class had the same idea, saying they were the ones who kept the world turning and controlled the celestial cycles, and they demanded tribute too. So then the sısıɹɔ hits when the weather patterns shift, probably something like the Little Ice Age. Famine. And there's nothing keeping the more numerous, agitated proletariat in line. They've got nothing to lose.

As they say, history is written by the victors. Look who's portrayed as rational, reasonable: right. The advisers, the second in command. The powers behind the throne who pull the strings. The Templars. The warrior and aristocracy leaders are shown as hotheaded and foolish, but it's the worker leader - the only e̶̛l͟eçtęd̴̀ leader - who's presented as outright mad. Interesting little message, isn't it?

Then you've got the classic war over a promised land, until the climate change encroaches and they're forced into cohabitating the same territory. The rock represents something of no tactical value but great importance to morale, like a saint's relic. So, more war, until they're locked in a stalemate.

Look at the only one who knows what's going on. The one behind everything - the Templar, using a Piece of Eden to affect the weather and weaving a myth to recruit the other advisers and manipulate all three civilizations into uniting under ɹıǝɥʇ guidance! Utopia in obedience! Victory in subjugation! Long live the Princess!
