It wouldn't be impossible to mass produce drugs to nullify mutant powers. Things could be averted from taking a more destructive route. With more time, things could reach something akin to an understanding, as much as anyone can understand the twisted minds of mutants. But perhaps with medication and guidance they wouldn't be such time bombs - and humanity could back off from them for long enough for things to take a different path.
...yes. I'm aware that's a fool's hope. But you have no idea what it's like to be sitting on the sidelines with only movie trailers to hint at your oncoming future and have those trailers be both vague and yet all too informative. Let me have my hopes, temporary as they are.

I have no idea why you pulled me out of retirement for this. So there's new movies and it looks like you're going to be in nerd heaven for a while. That's great; no, really, it legitimately is. You don't torture the muses as much when this kind of thing is going on. My big question is what anything going on in the world has to do with me, personally. Since I got ahold of Hammer Industries we haven't been dealing with SHIELD, so the second Captain America movie and Agents of SHIELD don't impact my life.

Okay, the ripple effects from them will eventually hit me, I'll give you that. Another crisis on top of the twenty a day or so I'm already managing. But there hasn't been any word on my fath- on Mr. Hammer's, status. He wasn't mentioned in anything, hasn't gotten a cameo in anything. So this isn't the prime time to be hauling me away from the company to gush about the MCU. I have a lot of work to do and I don't have enough hours in the day.
You'd be better off with the spawn of a main character, anyway. They might have some place to feasibly go here. I don't, and I'm glad. I have too much on my plate as it is. Sorry, but I don't have time for games right now any more than I did when you first wrote me into existence on LJ.
