Oh very well, but I prefer texting! I don't care that I'm here in your head, texting is easier for me, then I don't have to deal with silly expressions, like the one you're currently wearing.

And you think being trapped here in your head is entertaining? Well, I suppose for a tiny brain such as yours, it is perhaps entertaining. I find it dull, I'm here in this big empty space you call a head. .... Of course, I know I'm not alone, but you can hardly call the things you've filled your head with as worth while for someone of my intelligence.

Solved the last "impossible" one yesterday. Today, I'm bored.

[ Have one of those eyebrows-up John looks that crosses between being impressed as usual and wondering what it would be like to have a flatmate whose boredom could be alleviated by something simple like a board game. ]

[There's a long pause, he reaches to the side-table. And picks up a gun.]

... [ Shakes his head. Goes for the newspaper because he can.

Probably keeps more of a wary eye on bored-Sherlock and his gun than the newspaper, which is good news because I have no idea what would even be in it. ]

Of course, how stupid of me.

[He simply takes an interest in his gun...]

Well, at least you're learning to admit it. That's the first step, as they say.

[He stands lays the gun on the table then walks over to a bookshelf and gets a box. He then returns to the table. Sherlock is many things. Including OCD - not about everything, but about his gun, sure. He sits down and starts to empty the rounds and disassemble the gun for cleaning.]

[Unfortunately, since Sherlock is distracted with gun cleaning, he doesn't see John's expression.]

So, what plans does your mun have for you?

[ John why do you ever think that will faze him. ]

Nothing's concrete until she puts together an application. [ Pfah. God only knows what would get put into that thing. Be like seeing his therapist all over again. ] Likely to end up in America if she does.

[He pulls a face, more at what John said than his gun, but he'll never admit it.]

America. Surely she can be more creative than that.

The more creative they are, the more likely it is things turn out badly for us, Sherlock. [ Which still goes up a bit higher on the list than nothing happening at all. ] Might be nice, getting somewhere and knowing what country I'm in.

[ A quick grin of his own to match. ]

[Sherlock is not done cleaning the gun. He gives it one last inspection before beginning to reassemble it.]

[ He offers up an affirmative hum. ] Small blessings. Not even likely to get shot at.

[He has finished putting the gun together, it's unloaded, but he can't be sure John doesn't know that. He points it at John.]

You sound pretty certain of that. Is there a rule to prevent it?

[ John tosses over a look that can really just be summed up as 'holy irresponsible, Sherlock'. ]

What rule ever successfully prevented shootings? [ Sort of flicks a page of the paper over to the next. ] But considering it's not an active war-zone and there aren't any major criminals to run around after, I like to have a little hope in my chances.

[ ...he's going to be incredibly bored, isn't he. ]

[He rolls his eyes and grins.]

It's not loaded and you are going to be bored. I'm bored just listening to you.

Probably right. I'm almost getting bored listening to myself. [ As long as the chip and pin machines keep to themselves, man. ]

Any chance I could borrow the skull for company? [ He kids, he kids. ]

[Joking or not, a flash of horror crosses Sherlock's features.]

The gun isn't currently loaded, but I can quickly remedy that.

[In other words, no chance in hell, John.]

[ That awkward moment when your flatmate is bffs with a dead man's head and doesn't see the problem.

Typically this moment is more awkward by being surprising as well, but then again, Sherlock never really does typical. ]

You could just say 'no', for the record.

[He grins, admit it John, you love it. Ultimately, that's why you're still living here, even after all your protests.]

[He shrugs and reloads his gun before putting it away. As to the advantage? Sometimes it's boring.]
