Several people try to enable Haruhi's mundane for various places. They're all met with everything from skepticism and mild interest.

( Haruhi nods, carefully taking the phone as she stares at the message. )

Hm, 'various places', huh.... I wonder what these places are!

I've only been to one so far. It's, um... I'd rather not talk about it.

[ Scary tower is scary. Even by his standards, and he's been desensitized to almost any form of violence imaginable. ]

Yuno and I are going somewhere else, now. It doesn't sound too bad, but without our Diaries... [ Yuno's not gonna take learning she'll have to earn hers back well. It's the Holy Grail of stalking. ]

One of them was a huge tower full of monsters, and run by crazy people who perform experiments on us. It didn't really help that Yuno and I were taken from a really bad time in our lives. [ Akise-kun and Tsubaki were from Paradox, which was a bit of a relief to him. Not so much to Yuno. ]

The other seems like a pretty normal neighborhood, at least compared to the Tower. Though me and Yuno are going to lose our pow-- [ Stops himself. ] -- what makes us unique, as well as our Diaries. It's, uh... let's just say I'm not looking forward to having that conversation with her. At least we can earn them back, so she should be okay, right?

[ There's also the fact that they'll likely be forced to go to school, there. And he's very out of practice, and was too used to using his Diary to cheat. ]

A-About us losing our Diaries?

It is. [ Especially since Deus' entire motivation for choosing his successor this way and causing several people to die, or worse, can be summed up to 'I did it for the lulz.' ] I didn't have much of a choice, though.

[ ... That's it? Wow, he's used to navigating a minefield of a conversation - Yuno's gone off on homicidal rampages over less - but that was kind of easy. ]

S-So... yeah. What I'm worried about is Yuno thinking something similar exists in other worlds.
