[Her face scrunches up into a look of disgust and insult.]

One does not simply throw around the Dragonborn, fool.

[She crosses her arms and turns her nose up, lips twitching slightly.]

Remember last time you "brought me out" you could not handle it. You're way in over your head, child. ["Child" even though she's only 19 but shhh]

Not that you'll listen, because you are a fool.

Now, we've already established that I, as a dark elf, am superior to you in every conceivable way. That's hardly anything to be ashamed of, my inferior friend! It just means that you can give up trying for first place and see what slightly-less-amazing things will get you into second place! Pressure's off!

But I have a concern: I just solved all your problems. It follows that solving problems is something that I'm really, really great at. Ergo, I can solve the problems of everyone I come across, and it follows from that that I've been brought here to do...what, solve the problems of every inferior being I come across?

That's way too much regret and introspection and feelings for me! I've already got a budding Witchhunter to train and she's already bored me to ectoplasmic tears with all that nonsense! Thank Vivec I've solved her feelings, but I have no desire to do it again.

I mean, I could if I wanted to. But I don't! Too bad for the lesser races but they are probably used to that.

Try, try, try as you might, you just couldn't resist me, could you, mortal? That boring little fake skooma junkie of yours gets a magical cold and becomes convinced he's me. But you didn't count on me sticking around in your head, did you? You knew you'd miss me once that little plot was done.

I do have a long history of sticking around in mortals' brains, you know.

Morning Star just isn’t your month, is it? If you want my advice, keep busy. And speaking of…

Look, I don’t mind playing host to interesting beings from other spheres of existence. It’s supposed to be my speciality. But – and this is important – if there’s an argument between the ladies I do not want to be caught in the middle. Somewhere just to the side will be fine.

Also, whatever happened to using that Shadowbanish wine?

What part of I'm too busy doing research don't you understand?

No. Definitely not. Most assuredly-- what do you mean, I could turn their eyeballs into tentacles? Hmm. Well, yes. It was interesting now that you mention it. Interesting or not, however, it was an unintentional side effect - good for deterring unwanted guests, if you catch my meaning - but unintentional nevertheless. I think more useful change was the one to their tongue rather than their eyes.

Eyes are necessary for brewing tea properly, tongues are not. There's also far too much wagging of yours in particular going on here and not enough of me getting back to my work.

Now, where is that fool steward of mine? Your incessant nattering it giving me a headache.

Varona! No - she's still dead.

Maybe next time that Dragonborn comes around I'll have them fetch another heart stone and bring her back. Do you think she's been buried too long? If her brain has rotted too much, she might not be able to make tea properly.

Drovas! Get in here! Where is that steward?

What... were you trying to be clever, girl? "The voice"? First the guards at Whiterun start babbling about Nord folklore and now you cracking wise about it. This is not a laughing matter. Barely a week past my own kinsmen trying to behead me and now I have to deal with you.

Divines grant me patience. I think I stood a better chance with those thieves back at Bleak Falls Barrow.

Really? It would make a lot more sense, wouldn't it?

*Ma'sud clears his throat.* Well, that settles it, then. I thought it would hold me back in the first place, but now I'm definitely never getting married.

((It wouldn't end your adventure and you know it. You could adopt children if I paid for the right thing and it wouldn't end your adventure.))

I mean what you said, Mundane. The dying part. I'm not losing another companion, especially if she's my wife. And a dragon could attack anywhere.

((I think you're just making excuses because you're not used to being financially comfortable and able to not steal.))

That's a load of- ... Listen. I'll never have a wife, and your only concern here is to respect it.

Oh, hey. You remembered I exist.

Listen, we gave it a shot last time. I'm not much of a talker and everyone else talks too much. And I really don't like the sound of this mansion with those other werewolves.

Take that loudmouth Imperial mage. He'd be happy with more people to listen to him talk about how great he is. And I won't have to pound him.

Now you are interested in me again?

[Her tone is thick with indignation and her arms crossed. She is a small woman, but the amount of "I'm going to kill you" present in her stance is palpable. Honestly, she goes ignored for months and then gets thrown in a few threads and suddenly she's interesting again?

The nerve.]

I should tear you to pieces and wear your bones as decoration for ignoring me for as long as you have!

Though I am altogether quite grateful for the new "faces" and all, I think it's a silly and pointless venture.

You lose interest too quickly, and I don't take kindly to being left to decay.

--And if you bring my father into this, I'll have you fed to my pets. I'll have you know that I don't say such things trivially.

Thoryn is the only one of the lot of you that has any sense, I swear. By Azura-- if he hadn't given me the idea of escaping my father's bizarre whims, we may have been caught up in that mess in Vvardenfell. [A shudder.] Nasty bit of business that from what I heard.

And I think good old King Helseth would've had us both drawn and quartered with how much he'd grown to despise house Indoril and-- ah yes, yes.

You go on to bed then. Don't say that Sethelvani Hlaalu never tried to tell you anything interesting. Believe me; it's a fascinating tale of terror and romance~! Maybe you'll hang around to hear it one day.

True. You have faced much change of late, for one so small. But I know something of change, mal wunduniik. Perhaps you cannot ride the currents of time as I do. But you must do more than endure change if you want to grow strong. Wuldsetiid du sahlo: let the tide swallow you, and it is likely you will drown.

Meditate a short while. Then... staadnau viinggi. Time that you learn something new, I think.

You are most certainly out of your mind. Oh-- Mundane, is that what I'm meant to call you now?

I want nothing to do with my father's filthy throne, and I will under no circumstances return to Morrowind. I took Thoryn away from there for a reason. Cirodiil was not ideal at first, I admit. Even having Vonden and Elynu-- both from well bred families as well-- aiding in our flight, it took its toll.

You're meaning to tell me that you're going to leave this time period where we have a variable empire all our own; ah, I must thank you for the lovely ruins that we've been refurnishing at any rate. Hundreds of years in our future you have the nerve to say something as ridiculous as that there are dragons afoot?

And that my kindred are tossed to the winds this way and that in that foul, stinking Nord rathole of Skyrim?

Ludicrous. I have no interest in this venture.

Not enough fun in your life, huh?

Let your ol' uncle Sanguine give you a few pointers on tempting mortals into sin and debauchery.

Not that a lot of the mortals around here need it.

Hey, let's just forget the whole 'game' thing and stroll right on back to that 'meme' place you were talkin' about.

I saw plenty of people there we can have some real fun with, if you know what I mean.

So, I am finally out of the deep pit which you call your headspace. Hmph. It took you long enough, as I am keen for battle and want to seek my destiny. The Greybeards did not call me to High Hrothgar for nothing, scribe. The dragon at Helgen needs to be stopped and I am the only one who can complete such a task.

Perhaps, I shall stop off at one of Skyrim's many taverns and drink many flagons of mead before continuing my journey. For, that sounds a better bet than walking for days and then dying of exhaustion, or killed by a bear. You mentioned something about possible games for me? I have no time for your trivial games, as I am a warrior, not a milk drinking puppet! Nay, the Thalmor need to be flushed out of Skyrim, along with the cursed Empire. Many tasks I have ahead of me, yet the dragons are the greatest task yet.

Ulfric Stormcloak is relying on me to help his cause, in fighting for the sons and daughters of Skyrim. This Tower of Animus in which you speak of can wait. I have no desire in going there either. Skyrim needs me and I will not let her down. I will either fight well or die well in battle.

I’m pretty certain it won’t get any cooler. Not that I’m against wasting a day sitting around drinking whatever’s to hand. Although last time I wound up covered in brightly coloured moss for a week, so… my point is, you’d better start moving now or the odds won’t improve for the rest of your time here. Speaking as a friend.

A friend who’s, ah, slightly at the mercy of a shapeshifting tiger. Lest you forget.

Come on, it's not that bad. You could be in Bravil.

You can't be serious!

There is a war going on in my homeland, and you plan to take me away for "fun" — I can't allowed you to do that. I am a Jarl, and there are people who need me. If you want to go on an adventure, your best choice is to ask an adventurer that's willing to tag along.
