you only THINK you know me
I think we both know why you can't find a suitable place for me.
Because you know what I'll do when I'm in.~
Oh, it will be grand, I assure you. I'll be running the show within a week - the poor, stupid brutes dancing upon command. Dare I even say, they'll be fawning over me, their rightful, glorious hero and savior.
...
Fine then. A compromise. Set me free, and I'll leave the unwashed masses alone. Despite how much better I could make their silly little lives, I promise to stay out of sight and simply resolve whatever trivial matter that plagues their world. Let it never be said that I cannot make concessions.

And it does not matter what they did to my lenses; that only accelerated an inevitable confrontation. I was going to shut down their operation one way or another - they chose the path of violence.

But nooo, you decided hitting you with paintballs and breaking your eyepieces made them history's greatest monsters.

You've always been too soft, Parker, and too many people have paid for that mistake. A few decisive actions would have saved you a lifetime of grief.
You know. Like stopping a runaway crook at a wrestling match.

I try my best not to go that far because that's the kind of person he raised me to be.
And really, if you actually were honest about caring for Aunt May, you wouldn't make light of the death of the man she loved.

I only mention it prove a point. The world would still be blessed with his presence if you had only made the tough decisions. Gwen Stacy would not have died if you had only dealt with that cackling maniac Osborn more thoroughly. Many others would have been spared similar undeserved fates.
I may be new at this hero game, Parker, but I do know this: men of success put aside their own feelings for the greater good. Most caring parents would not want their child to hurt others, but if it means keeping them - and the world - safe, I would gladly break a thousand Screwballs. Or Jesters. Or Vultures, Sandmen...even Octopi.
We can agree to disagree on methods, but I know this is the only logical discourse. I'll be hated and reviled, if that is what is necessary, but I will be the superior hero that the world needs.

So I highly suggest taking a long, hard look at what you've done lately. Because when Logan of all people calls you too violent, you've crossed a line somewhere.
