[She just rolls her eyes and gets Crescent Rose out. Seriously, not in the mood.]
You know exactly what I'm talking about. Think for just a minute, Juane. Professor Ozpin runs Beacon personally. Yet he still manages to keep tabs on random girls getting in the way of the cops breaking up robberies. You really think he isn't going to notice someone trying to sneak into his school!?
[Yep, she sure did pull out that scythe-that's-also-a-gun on him. He's not sure if he should be more concerned with that or more concerned with a conversational topic he'd be much happier avoiding all together.]
So what exactly are we getting at here? Am I getting yelled at for the fact that I turned down Pyrrha, or that apparently now the entire school knows what I told her?
Nobody but Cardin knows about it at Beacon. But you passed the initiation trial, got on a team, and are leading that team. If we were supposed to get here on our own merits, neither Yang or I would've been accepted. We only got to where we are because our uncle Qrow helped train us.
There's no glory in being a lone wolf here. You're part of a team. You, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren are all in it together. Do you understand what I'm getting at?
[That's okay, Ruby. Probably everyone wants to facepalm. Or possibly smack him. Or break Cardin's legs. (Dear lord, if Nora found out....)]
That doesn't change the fact that I lied, Ruby. You and everyone on your team and Team JNPR all earned your places in the school. I didn't do anything to let me earn my place in Beacon, let alone be the one chosen to lead a team.
Besides, what good's a leader if he can't stick up for himself anyway?
[She's going with all of the above. After all, Yang and Blake are in charge of the "accident."]
Oh, and all that stuff that happened out in the Emerald Forest accounts for nothing then? I saw - albeit later - how you four took down that Deathstalker. You and Pyrrah were amazing! And the way you took charge was just SO COOL.
That is all that matters to Professor Ozpin. I'm willing to put money on it. You earned your spot on the team out there in the Emerald Forest. Don't count yourself out so soon.
[She brandishes Rose at him.] Or you'll be answering to Rose.
[Wow he does not like having that weapon pointed at him, nope, not at all.]
How can you be so sure? What if the transcripts do matter in the long run, and he finds out they were faked? Besides, come on, the thing with the Deathstalker was more Pyrrha, Nora and Ren than me.
But, [he forces a small laugh] That was all nothing compared to what you and your team did back there.
[She gives a frustrated grunt as she swings Rose over her head and to the side so that the tip buries itself in the ground.]
It was a team effort. If you hadn't knocked back its pincer when you did, Pyrrha would've been stabbed in the back. If you hadn't noticed the stinger was barely hanging on after Ren's attack, Nora and Pyrrha wouldn't have been able to finish it off when when they did.
It is no different than what we did. Each team utilized each member of the team to launch an assault that ultimately earned victory. JNPR can't function without you, any more than it can without anyone else. The same goes for our team.
Professor Ozpin knows that. He's not going to kick the leader of the second best team in Beacon out just because he didn't file the right paperwork. Had you not been able to get your piece and back to the cliffs, that would've been one thing. But you did. You earned your place in your team the same as I did.

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!?

GIRLY SCREAMHe gives a yelp and tumbles over in graceful Jaune Arc-y fashion.]H-Hey! What was that for?

[Crosses arms and glares.]

I, uh, don't know what you're talking about.
[Jaune you are the worst liar ever.]
