Canon: Eternal Darkness! Looking for a home maybe?
...What do you mean that the flesh and bone devour small creatures that resemble my true form? You must be lying! These... Lobsters, you call them? They must be mighty creatures if they resemble me! Do they not have many mouths? What of their claws? Are they not strong enough to rip apart frail human flesh and crush bone?
...Is your sole reason in telling me this to incite my anger, or to insult me?

Here is hoping I AM NOT A BAD SPACE JELLYFISH
Can your infantile mind not grasp the simple implications of nature's order, Chattur'gha? How sad it must be for such a meandering, thick-headed thing like you, to see something modeled after his supposition of greatness... continually devoured by simplistic, weak, flesh and blood... pathetic.
Re: Here is hoping I AM NOT A BAD SPACE JELLYFISH
Ulyaoth, I have been informed that there's something that resembles you, as well! A mere brainless blob that is carried everywhere by the waves!
[HAHA UR NOT THAT SMART!!!]

The smallest of these creatures, Chironex fleckeri, is able to fell anything of flesh and bone by simply brushing up against it with almost no effort whatsoever on its part. In fact, many of them are feared by mortals. If you seek to insinuate that just because they may be akin to me means that we are, in fact, one in the same, you are wasting your time with this contrivance. Have you ever heard of one of your Nephropidae--or "lobsters," as I suppose I should lower my standards for you--causing fatalities?
no subject
At least my lobsters would be aware of what they are doing.

Yes, yes, just in the same way an ape is aware of its baser urges to procreate and find food. Your sad countenance on these simplistic creatures is quite telling of your lack of mental acuity. But one supposes that you could always aspire to be on the same level as them; after all, I imagine that even such small things are wiser, still, than you. And their simplistic lot in the ever-turning wheel of life is to be devoured. Do you not find it ironic, Chattur'gha? Is devouring not all you do? Surely you can see the irony of disparaging flesh and blood over this?

Speak plainly instead of showing off, Ulyaoth! It is your pride which saw you killed by Xel'lotath!
no subject
[ DON'T MAKE HIM TRY TO KILL YOU AGAIN, Chatty. HE WILL. Also no fuck Mantorok he doesn't even remotely LIKE the corpse god-- ]
Speak plainly? How about this: I see no future wherein you are successful.
no subject
[Exactly. You hate him, it would be fitting.]

Mantorok relied on subtle manipulations of our perceptions of differing realities across the ripples of the cosmos, rather than direct power. It was unwise to underestimate the Corpse God, even left festering. But while we may be defeated, it has not won--merely given those of mortality more time to deny their true masters.
[ IN OTHER WORDS: that fucker cheated, and he's not touching the Xel'lotath thing... ]

Space jelly meet space squid?
And you. You are like me, are you not?
SPACE INVERTEBRATE PARTY?
While there may be similarities, a simplistic creature in any form could never hope to match the Master of the Planes. To elevate oneself to MY level is something most are incapable of; my true power is incomprehensible to most creatures of the mortal plane.
[ Arrogance. Ulyaoth has a lot of it. ]
AND IT WAS SO, BUT WOULD IT BE ANY GOOD?
[Sure, her realm is Sound and the Mind but she has her pride too, damnit. Apparently space eldritch things all have an abundance of that thing called arrogance.]
I DUNNO WITH ALL THIS EGO GOING AROUND IT MIGHT BE A DISASTER
I see no reason to account for those of lesser value, simplistic or even remote of intellect. There may be others--there will always be others... but they do not matter to me. Order is senseless in a cosmos where it never occurred; where from the depths of chaos came all. Order is an illusion bound to those of flesh and bone, who do not see beyond their thinly-veiled reality.
... Even so, I suppose I shall acknowledge vague interest. Knowledge is the most important of strengths.
NO KIDDING
Yet even you, with all your wisdom and strength, have not taken it upon himself to claim this realm. Even if order is an illusion that even a semblance of it exists at all is a mystery that we cannot deny.
it's about to get ~philosophical~ up in here
Though it pains me to admit it, even the might of my knowledge cannot cover every droplet in the small bucket that are the infinite timelines and expanses beyond that to which I belong. Places like this, and others, may yet be awaiting the day their freedom is stripped as they acknowledge their true superiors. Even the omniscient have gaps, pockets of darkness. Order is only an illusion wrought by the ancient rules written through force, such as those brought forth by the might of Mantorok. Even festering in death, it still has teeth, believing it can control and contain the other powers.
You might say it is ironic, perhaps, then, that humans would seek to attempt to control us... but control is very easily a perception that can also be shifted.

[ They exist in multiple dimensions, timestreams, and everything else. And are about as big as planets. And made up of weird space shit, so yeah.
... Never mind they're KIND of human now, but that's beside the point. ]

[It's not meant an insulting kind of way, just a 'yep humans are pretty great on their own'.]

[ TL;DR: I would enslave humans for the lulz and probably kill half of them out of boredom. ]

Maybe they will die out, but they won't do that without having left a mark.

[ Humans are stupid. You are the same as Mantorok, he swears. WHY is this SO HARD to grasp? ]
