You just can't give that up, can you? You even went as far as to change my user name.
Just because I happen to share a few interests with Holmes and perhaps one or two character traits does not make me related to him. Don't get me wrong-I'm thrilled to get to be associated with the legendary detective in any way but this isn't exactly what I had in mind. I want to be just like Sherlock Holmes, not be his son.
And before you say anything, there's nothing wrong with a parents I have now. ...Although, I guess it would be pretty cool to be Holmes' kid.

Sherlock Holmes invented the job of Consulting Detective, remember? And more than that, he's the only consulting detective and since my mun likes to jokingly refer to me as Holmes' son she felt it appropriate to reflect that in my user name.
C:
You may have misunderstood. I merely express interest in how the user name in question affects you as a person. I presume you are as you were prior to this conversion?
[ other than being somewhat humiliating. ]
c:
Well... of course. A change in user name wouldn't affect my personality. It's just ridiculous.

Then her decision to reconsider your user name has ill to no affect. Such reflects upon the childish nature of her desire and does not cause impact upon you, your relations, or your abilities.

[not that he's really complaining that all these usernames are starting to revolve around him, but in this way?]
no subject
She just wants to encourage it.
no subject
[why would it be cool . . . ]
But what's the point? We don't even have the slightest family resemblance.
no subject
I have no idea. Her own amusement would be my guess.
no subject
Not to mention everyone else's on the ship.
What do you mean it would be cool?
[yes he's going to come back to that.]
no subject
...w-well... um...it's just that you're legendary and also thepersonIlookuptothemost..

...Right.
Sorry, so sorry. (she isn't)

What delusions? Sherlock Holmes is the greatest.

Like that ever happens.
Besides, I'm not just "stroking his ego" you know, I'm trying to learn to be as great as he is.
no subject
Then maybe you should start at his failures.
no subject
well, it doesn't matter because I started with his methods.
no subject
Unless you've deleted that particular bit of knowledge, Mr. Holmes?

You do know he's not actually my dad right? That's what this whole thing was about.
no subject
I think I'd know if you were. But the similarity in personality is striking.

....How?

Oh this is getting better and better.

[ Because since she thought he hadn't had it figured out, obviously he had to prove her wrong. ]
no subject
And yet you're doing exactly as I expected. Does that say more about your 'advantage' or mine?
no subject
Just because I've played one card, doesn't mean I've played them all.
[ Except that he kind of has-or any card he could play. ]
no subject
Tsk tsk, dear. You're sounding as defensive as he is. It gives you away. That you don't actually have any cards left at all.
no subject
[ Though in this case, yeah. Out of options. ]
no subject
[A laugh.] But I suppose I can't fault you for it. He never learned when to quit either.
