Thoughts on Season 3 in general and the premiere (Possible spoilers in comments)

Yes, you're disappointed that Sombra didn't get as much screen time as you wanted, but maybe we can try not thinking about that too much? The test was difficult enough already and I'd rather not think about him making an appearance later in the season. You already read the synopses for the first few episodes, so just wait it out until they air.

I know this was just the start of things yet to come, but do you really have to keep comparing it to your bullet hell and danmaku shooters? You play too many video games, mun. Comparing Sombra to a "stage 1 boss," while accurate, doesn't mean he's any less dangerous. He still has powerful magic and-

...no, I don't know who Rumia is, mun. Besides, what makes you think she and Sombra have anything more in common than power over darkness and getting defeated easily, regardless of having such a powerful ability?

Yes, that's pretty much the case.

Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't. It's very hard to tell with muns, especially during their "character development paths" they like to travel in these games.

This is starting to sound like a few Professor's I've worked with in the past. Very big picture types. They tend not to think about the little details that get in the way of what they want.

That doesn't sound like a very good outlook on things. The most important part of any journey is the trip itself; not the destination. After all, it wouldn't feel like a journey if it was incredibly easy, right?

A plus. That's the sort of attitude I like to hear. After all if my lectures were only about the places I ended up rather then how I got there I wouldn't be nearly as well paid as I am.

Well, maybe once there's enough time, I'll be able to write everything down. I've written plenty of letters so far, so an official anthology could be a wonderful side project.

Sounds good to me! [chuckle] I always write my formal papers as a side project. It kind of bugs my bosses but...eh.

I can't see why. Personally, I love writing formal papers; I can't see why anypony else wouldn't unless they simply weren't fond of them.

It's not my...favorite thing to do. I mean once I get in a groove I really get into it. But my bosses prefer that I am more "professional" In my writing, but I usually treat them as an excuse to relive my adventures.

Oh, there's nothing wrong with that at all. The best part of a good story is feeling as though you're a part of it, so reliving past adventures by writing them down shows traits of a passionate writer. I have to admire that.

Well, I guess they prefer those levels of professionalism. That sort of thing only makes them look bad.

(It's not like she doesn't know about the flirting part. She is pretty much a ponified Indiana Jones Twi has read the books, after all.)

It's hard to balance my fun and my business but my classes are always full so I must be doing something right.

I think it's how you balance it that draws in the crowd. That and I don't think anypony wouldn't want to take your class.

I don't know if I can pick just one, though; they were all so amazing! The Sapphire Stone, the Griffin's Goblet...I can't decide!

But you'll keep having more adventures, right? All of your past ones have been nothing short of amazing, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to read any future papers.

Well...there was a little something I was working on. My most recent adventure. I was thinking of calling it, "The City in the Cliffs". I was down south seeking out rumors of a city built into the side of a massive Canyon. The art and buildings I found there proves that the people living in that time long since gone were far more advanced then we had previously anticipated.

Of course that was where I discovered a cult of what I believe to be mutated goats living deep in the caves. The seemed to think I would make a tasty treat. [Chuckle]
