You continue to disappoint me, mundane. Your high-minded ideas of progress and change were what led to our separation, and simply because you're fond gives you no excuse to simply pull me out for your own amusement.

I'm a busy man, and I have no time for your whims. If you want to do something, then take initiative, rather than simply occupying my time with nonsense. If you had a plan, then perhaps we could speak on this further. Until then, I have more pressing matters to attend to.

Anywhere I wouldn't be tempted to fall back into bad habits is good enough for me, but I don't know what she wants.

Those particular tastes, yes. At some point, I begin to wonder if our preferences don't matter.

Not in the sense that they'd care what we want.

It's about what they think would be "interesting." Which usually ends in a lot of heartache.

It's us who suffers instead. I'm sure they wouldn't be so hasty if there were consequences to this nonsense.
