You continue to disappoint me, mundane. Your high-minded ideas of progress and change were what led to our separation, and simply because you're fond gives you no excuse to simply pull me out for your own amusement.

I'm a busy man, and I have no time for your whims. If you want to do something, then take initiative, rather than simply occupying my time with nonsense. If you had a plan, then perhaps we could speak on this further. Until then, I have more pressing matters to attend to.

Those particular tastes, yes. At some point, I begin to wonder if our preferences don't matter.

Not in the sense that they'd care what we want.

It's about what they think would be "interesting." Which usually ends in a lot of heartache.

Yeah. I can tell you from experience that it isn't.

I can't imagine. Although turning down the prospect of temptation sounds like a good place to start.

I'm sure. I would hate to think of the challenge if it remained as hard from one day to another.

You learn to live without certain things.

Which is probably why I'm so good at waiting.

Knowing how to wait is a learned skill, and an admirable one to have. Too few people know how to lie in wait for the perfect moment.

I've known far too many people who prefer to punch their problems away instead of calculate how to take them down.
