Werewolves are pretty rare, these days, at least where Cher and I come from--the pixie who's charming you right now. It's difficult not to notice.

There's a family of them living locally. Every time one dies, they have a reunion and call in the troops.

I'm sure you know the tactical advantages. Trouble is, it doesn't always take. A human doesn't know how to handle the strength, the aggression, and even if it works, it kills them eventually.
