Whining softly, Nina paces a circle and tries to hunker down out of sight.]

[ Tia casts a pitiful look upon her. What a tortured soul! She bows to her knees and offers her hand. ]

[Sniffing her fingers, Nina shuffles forward a bit to look her in the face.]

[Well that's a strange creature. He's never seen something like that before. Kind of reminds him of uh... Some kind of dog?

Maybe it's a lion-dog, or something! Hmmmmhmm... But there's just something about her that makes him saddened. He tries to act cheerful as he can, hunkering down onto his knees and giving her a smile.]

[Staring at him curiously, she tilts her head when he speaks.]

Hi...there.

[The voice seems a bit...distorted, but definitely female.]

Oh, hey don't hide...!

[Taiyou's always liked dogs, and this creature seems to be one; albeit, shy. But how come?]

I won't hurt you.

[A lot of reasons. But she looks up with a soft whine, looking at Taiyou with a naturally unreadable expression.]

[Hey now, what is that? It kind of looks like a dog of some kind. Then again Saft's sort of used to meeting strange new animals every now and again.]

...It's okay, I won't hurt you.

[She kneels down and smiles.] I'm a friend.

[Nina perks up noticeably at the word friend, watching Saft from behind her bangs.]

( Padme frowns sadly at the sight. Without pausing to consider her actions, she walks over and kneels down. )

[Looking up when she's approached, Nina doesn't move from where she is, allowing Padme to come close.]

[Karl wished he could do something for her but he had no skill with even the possibility of getting her into a normal state. The best he could maybe do is move her consciousness into a new body, and he didn't want to do something as morbid and potentially life-harming as that.]

[Wow, even she knows that was mean, but all she doesn't do anything more than lower her head a bit to better look at him.]

Toothless sits down, trying to make himself look smaller. He tilts his head and makes a curious noise. ]

Nina has never seen a real dragon before and ducks her head a little, peering at him through her bangs.]

[Odd squats down and offers his hand with the palm down. He knows how to handle dogs.]

[Sniffing the offered hand and then turning her eye to his face, she pads a little close and watches him quietly.]

Oh? An experiment gone wrong I'm guessing. [He takes off his gas mask and moves to try and pat her head with one of his gloved hands.]

[While she doesn't move away, she doesn't know what to make of him and only stares quietly.]

[ Oh... Oh no. It's like his heart is shattering all over again like that night and after everything he's done, everything he's learned, he still can't do a goddamn thing.

Nina... Why? Why does it have to be like this? Why did Tucker— But he knows the reason why Tucker did it and it had been his first glimpse in how incredibly fucked up the world can be at times.

His expression contorts and try as he might to smile encouragingly, inwardly he's nearly breaking. A hitched breath is the first close as he slowly lowers himself to his knees in front of her. A gloved hand reaches out to touch. Does she still remember? He'll find out soon enough. ]

Nina... [ His voice is the kind of tenderness he rarely exhibits and his voice cracks near the end of her name. ] I'm sorry. I'm so sorry...

[ Because he couldn't save her. ]

Nope, you're first.

[Of course she remembers Little Big Brother Ed. And she leans in towards him a little, tilting her head as though she can't understand fully why he's upset.

It's not her Daddy's fault he came to this problem right?]

Always was a sucker for FMA, and Nina always got me...

[He's not doing much, just hanging around, watching the coming and going of other folks.

But the timid, dog-like creature does catch his attention. He frowns as he watches her for a second; something's not quite right, but the hunter can't put his finger on it. Still, her shy actions play more on him than the underlying feel of 'wrong'. So he'll offer her a slight smile, kneeling down to try and be at eye level with her.

After a moment, he'll nod, offering a hand for the creature to inspect, keeping his voice low as he tries to call her over with the gesture.]

Hey, little one. It's all right. You're safe.

[At least from him, anyway. He'll wait to see if she's willing to come over, patiently holding his hand out.]

[It only takes a moment for her to focus her eyes on him, their nature making reading her feelings extremely hard. Another moment and she stands, padding close enough to sniff the outstretched hand.]

[Naturally there is no hesitation in her standing and padding over. This is her daddy after all and she still loves him very much. Things just got hard for him.]

But at the same time, he's also human. And, well, wolves are curious. They just don't risk their lives for it, unlike a human, or him.

So Sean really really wants to investigate this human-dog, even though it's much bigger than him. So he circles a little bit, before padding just a little closer, in sight...

This dog-human smells like he smells like a wolf-human, but it's not all the same. He can't pin it down, and he sneezes in frustration at this, before freezing with the closest thing a wolf can have for an 'oh shit' expression. It had to have heard him. Was he going to get eaten now? Granted, the dog-human stunk of fear, probably like the way he was just now...]
