In case you hadn't noticed, I'm not a big fan of the whole "under someone else's control" thing. Been there, done that. Even if all the other guys up here vouch for you, you're gonna have to prove it's not just talk.

[No response. That should be answer enough. Just a long glance in his mun's direction with narrowed eyes. If she even considers it again-!]

[instigating]

[ He chuckles, giving a little shrug of the shoulders. ] It would be but a bit of fun, really.

[Sorry, still glaring at his mun.] Your idea of fun and mine are way different.

[instigating]

[ Not talking to you, Clint, sorry. ] ...and what of your idea?

[Oh great. The mun's really going to do it. Dammit, Loki, you ruin everything.] ...damn it.

[ A smirk splits his face. Loki likes your mun, Barton. ] Looks like you're outnumbered. My sincerest apologies.

[Hey. Hey, Loki. There's an arrow coming right for your head. Might want to duck or something. Clint's mun is busy ducking one, too.]

[instigating]

[ It didn't work the first time ok; well it sort of did and it certainly isn't going to work the second. He catches it, discarding it before it can blow up in his face. Halves the distance between them, reaching out and taking him by the throat. ] ...whether you like it or not, Barton, a piece of you will always belong to me! [ His smile broadens. ] And your ally, your greatest ally, is on my side.

[He figured as much. Damn muns. Damn Loki. He bares his teeth in a snarl and tries to pry Loki's hand off of his throat.] Yeah? Doesn't mean that I'll go down easily. You keep underestimating me. Should have learned your lesson the last time.

[instigating]

Good, it'd be dull otherwise. [ ...you're not much different than Stark in stature, and he'd managed to lift and toss that rum soaked sponge, so go on, keep struggling. He likes it when you fight back. ] And you should have learned yours.

[Creep. Hope you like getting your elbow dislocated, Loki, 'cause Clint's going for a disarm now instead of just breaking your fingers.] You aren't much of a teacher.

[instigating]

[ He bets you like it. Lets him go, reeling back and taking a moment to inspect what damage has been dealt. Hisses, eyes narrowing as they return to Clint. ]And you think yourself to be one? Don't make me laugh. [ He'd not wanted to do this, but you've left him with no choice. From out of the what appears to be nowhere, Loki magicks the Casket of Ancient Winters with the intent of using it to put Clint on ice. ]

[Oh god, somebody find an adult. He looks just a little smug about causing Loki pain. Go on. That's just a fraction of what you deserve for using him as a drone.] No. Just the guy you pissed off.

[And then: oh shit. He'll be firing off a napalm arrow and trying to get out of range of... whatever that thing is.]

[He won't be getting far.]

[ Man up. Mirrors that smugness as the napalm arrow does little to affect the blast of cold shot in Clint's direction. His skin darkens, briefly, to that of the Jotun blue... and as soon as he's sure his "friend" isn't going anywhere, he magicks away the Casket. Steps forward, returning to normal. ] Nice try, Barton.

[Clint would have a witty retort all lined up if A: he weren't a human Popsicle at the moment; and B: he wasn't probably unconscious from hypothermia right now. Rest assured, once he thaws out, he won't just want to shoot an arrow into Loki's eye. Oh no. He's going to drag it out first.]

[Stupid Asgard gods. Stupid supervillains. Stupid muns.]

[ Loki is pleased with himself for finally putting a lid on that mouth of yours, Clint. He had grown tired of hearing you whine. Oh, and don't worry about the cold, ...he'll take good care of you. He'll make you his again yet. ]

[ We all love you too, Clint. ]

[Clearly, what Loki needs is a crap-ton of therapy, and Clint needs a cosmic restraining license against Asgardians getting anywhere near him (with the exception of Thor, 'cause he's okay). Also: wow. Yandere much?]

[ Not sure a crap ton would suffice. Clint would probably be happy to know what Loki is the only one truly off his rocker, ...so he'll just be needing that cosmic restraining license against him. Little bit. Just a little bit. ]

[Welp. Good to know, not that the Avengers hadn't figured it out by the time the Chitauri were blowing up New York. Somebody get that one lawyer chick on the phone.]

[Also, he's... kind of thawing out.

[ But that was just a bit of fun. Probably not so much for the cleaning crew. ...and I doubt she'd have the jurisdiction to draw up such a restraining order. Oh well, looks like you'll just have to deal with him. ]

[ Spearless, Loki's uses his psionic abilities to try and force Barton back into the obedient plaything he'd been before. Natasha may have knocked some sense into him, but the broken threads of work previous had to still be laying around in that empty bit of space Clint called a mind, right, ...maybe... He hopes this works. ]

[Dammit, where's Banner and the Other Guy when you need him?]

[Clint's actually putting up one hell of a fight when it comes to his free will, but it's crumbling. It's just a matter of time. -So why is he smiling?] Told you not to count me out.

[And cue that arrow from earlier exploding. With a much bigger payload than the last one, too. He's gonna be out of commission for a while, but he'll live.]

[ Is pleased that Clint is putting up such a fight. It'll make his triumph that much sweeter. Feels his will start to bend and... his ears are ringing. Sits up, realizing he's several feet from the jerkcicle. ] ...fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, ... [ Mutters under his breath as he gets to his feet, stumbling back over to Clint. ] Clever.

[No response. That was pretty much his last card to play. His ace in the hole. And even that wasn't fully enough. He got caught in the blast radius and is sprawled about four feet away on his side. His eyes are closed. He's still breathing, which is pretty much the only good bit about this.]

[ Loki didn't expect one. Had Clint been capable of snarking him, he imagines it would have been in regards to his falling for the same trick twice, ...and uh, no. Don't go there. Gets on one knee, taking this opportunity to be a real creeper and inspect Clint to make sure the ice hadn't done too much damage, ...not to mention the more recent explosion. Satisfied, that sounds so bad, he'll be trying to see whether or not his mind is still susceptible to his influence. He's going to ensure that his plan comes to fruition. ]
