"Smell like four of the Avengers"?
Really?
No, that's just... [ MAKES A FACE. A REALLY WEIRDED OUT SCRUNCHED UP KIND OF FACE. ]
I can't be the only one that thinks that's just kind of ... creepy. --no, I really don't want to know. Seriously, no!
[ seriously for real this is a thing thank you think geek for making all my dreams come true ]

FANDRAL
THAT'S
REALLY FORWARD
OF YOU
TO SAY.
And Jane Foster has the damn good grace to flush. But there's more to her look than just embarrassment. Something a little unhappy. ]
No. Look, I don't -- know if you realize, but he was only on Earth for a few days. That's not--
[ .... ]
No. Okay? The answer is no.

Do not worry. He will find you soon enough.
no subject
You're wrong on that one, too.
I'm going to find him.
--and I wasn't playing hard to get! That's -- it just wasn't -- you know what, never mind.
no subject
That and coffee. He quite likes coffee.

... but I thought the Bifrost was broken. And what Allfather did to send him to Earth recently was sort of a one time thing. ... I can find him. I know how. It's just -- making it work.
... I heard about the coffee, though. [ A small smile. ] I'm -- glad it's such a hit?
no subject
Aye, it is, and the Rainbow Bridge in great need of repair. Still, the eyes of Heimdall are ever-watchful [much to his chagrin] and when there is a way, he shall find it.
The coffee is wonderful, yes. It stains the teeth, though, if one is not careful.

... you really seem to think I can't do it on my own. Why? [ More amused than insulted, though.
... a beat. ] Do you guys have, like, toothpaste?

Because Midgard is quite...lacking in the area of science needed to travel between Realms. The Foster Theory is a step in the right direction, please be assured of that, but in the eons of mortal life, none have ever reached Asgard without the aid of the Valkyries or Sleipnir, and that is upon dying as a warrior in battle.
Aye, we do. Some of us are particular about our teeth, however.

Still. Her smile is crooked. ]
Thor believes me. I'm not sure why you don't. You know, I'm really looking forward suddenly to the look on your face when I prove you wrong.
[ ... particular. She just arches one brow and doesn't say anything to that. She imagines he's one of the particular ones. ]
no subject
I'm not going to try to persuade you to give up, Fair Jane Foster.
I think the look on my face wouldn't matter, as Thor would probably have us kneeling if you ever managed it.
no subject
But her smile grows more incredulous. ]
I didn't think you were. I guess I'm just surprised. Or ... maybe I shouldn't be. I think Thor probably waaay underestimated humans when he first got here, too. [ Her mouth quirks. ] Have a little faith. I'll be there before you know it.

UNTIL YOU MEET HEIMDALL
Seriously, it keeps him on his toes.]
And you will be welcomed warmly. I'm sure we shall feast most vigorously upon your arrival.
no subject
But Jane relents, a little, her smile going a bit softer. ]
Sounds like fun. [ A little wistful, suddenly. ] Makes me wish I was back home, working on it, instead of -- here.
no subject
Perhaps here you can be reunited with Thor until you do return home. That is a great upside, is it not?
no subject
Her mouth quirks, and she rubs a hand across the back of her neck, suddenly a little sheepish. ]
... yeah, it is. I mean -- I've seen him. [ Her smile broadens for a moment, warm, then flickers awkwardly. ] It's just -- different, I guess. Don't get me wrong, I was -- really happy to see him, but -- [ She looks around. ] ... I get the feeling it's sort of ... not really real, in this place.
no subject
How could it not be real? What makes it any less real, this place?

But what happens here is still real to you as you are now, so perhaps it is best to take it as such, hmm?
