The Minbari believe there is an honor to story telling, and by extension to those who tell the tales. Stories are a way to connect with history, to frame truth and possibility in a way that makes such ideas more easy to accept and attain.
There is much wisdom in retelling a tale that can so inspire, and if I may offer you inspiration then all I have done is well worth it.
Find the truth and the light in your words, use that to illuminate others. I will be here, at your side along the way.

I think your handling of what you found thoughtful and kind - and you even said a few words in parting.
