there was a need for this apparently
[No one remembers the eight-legged horse these days. Not even his mother/father.
Sad times in the mythology stables, sad times indeed.]

You are so very lovely, dear creature.

...he hasn't gotten any idea of how she would feel about him truly, considering that he was born out of bestial adultery to her and that Loki gave him to his father as a colt, so he's rather wary. Her words are kind and flatter him, however, and he can't help but toss back his mane at that and move forward slightly, eight legs giving away his nervousness.]

How fare you, little one? I see Loki's mischief in your great eyes. [She produces a plump apple from the inside of her cloak and offers it up.] A present to the child of my friend.
no subject
Though, oh holy Allfather, that is an apple and it looks whole and delicious and almost as delectable as a giant cube of sugar. A brief glance between the bearer of his snack and the snack itself is all he gives before plucking it out of her hand, tongue and teeth brushing against her as gently as he can manage.]

I hope you like it. It was the most beautiful shade of red on the valley trees.
no subject
The most beautiful shade of red apple has just been completely devoured. Completely. Not a leaf or stem left at all.
Gratefully (she did bring it to him, after all, as much as she currently confuses him), he dips his head down, allowing her to touch his muzzle if she so desires.]

Oh...hello there. It's been a while, hasn't it?

He spots his parent and automatically stamps a good six of his eight feet in a form of eagerness. His tail comes up to smack against his buttocks and back, and then he's elegantly trotting over to Loki, tossing his head so that his mane shows well.
Look, he's making himself pretty.]
no subject
You look...nice.
[He says, while keeping a lookout for any of the other gods. If Thor or Odin show up, he's ditching you, horsekid]

Also, he's damn awesome, okay. Is he prettier than you as a mare or something, MomDad? Don't be jealous of his shiny grey coat and luxurious mane and tail.
He draws his head back in confusion at the way his words spill out, an accompanying, proper noise escaping in a loud exhale as he does so. What did he do wrong?
But a moment later and he's leaning his neck down to catch a proper sniff of he who dumped him so long ago.]

Missed me? I must admit, I wasn't exactly the best...parent to you.

Why is this so cute
I don't know, but you're right, this is so adorable. c:
I kind of wish I had a horse now baw
Having rode the most stupid horse ever at Girl Scout camp has kinda turned me off horses.
Oddly, enough, I had something like that, too. A good horse, then.
Jealous. :P

But not too much, of course, considering who his rider is. He tosses his head in slight confusion.]

Unsure of how he'll be taken, he turns his head so his horse eye can take him in properly, moving over to him in a semi-circle so that he never loses sight of him. Never forgot? Really?]
no subject
I am an ignorant parent, distant and ill-suited, and I was too young to have you. I have shame, and I have regrets.
no subject
The only child of his flesh and blood, perhaps, but the most docile of them, if a horse like Sleipnir could be considered "docile" at all.
He comes around Loki, still in a semi-circular manner, before leaning his neck forward and exhaling loudly near Loki's neck. Sometimes, of course, when horses exhale, there's a bit of snot that goes along with it all...]

Outside of a place like this one, he knows he will never apologize. He will never understand the hypocrisy he inflicted on his own families.
...also, god damn it, Sleipnir.
Loki sighs, and fishes a handkerchief from his pocket. ]
One would think you'd grow out of that habit.
[ A hint of strained fondness, there, though; he remembers.
His palm flattens on Sleipnir's neck, stroking slow to his shoulder. ]
omg that picture is...you think the artist would mind if a snagged it for future use?
so adorable. I have no idea; I was linked to it directly.

Well...not really. It's all he's ever known, after all. He didn't just wake up with four more legs, after all; he was born with them.
You've got lots of showy stuff going on there, with your saddle and that ribbon thing around your neck...doesn't it ever get bothersome?]
no subject
Especially since Riderman lives with a princess, and it's always fun to have a princess try to spoil you with goodies.]
no subject
A princess? Wow! Sleipnir lives with the god of all gods and his wife, his ravens, and, well...the realm of gods. That's craziness! What are princesses like anyway, fellow horse?]
no subject
...What's a god, anyway? They sound cool, but the birds are probably better company. And princesses? They're all skinny and good-smelling and they have tiny hands that they rub your nose with, and they have yellow on their heads! And if you can get one for yourself, they'll totally sneak out and try to give you extra treats to make you like them better. Princesses are pretty nice to have...
But it's Riderman that gives you the rubdowns and curryings, you know? It's all good.
