[Sigyn peeks out from the hood of her cloak, then pushes the cloth back, a big beaming expression just for the boy/horse.]

...he hasn't gotten any idea of how she would feel about him truly, considering that he was born out of bestial adultery to her and that Loki gave him to his father as a colt, so he's rather wary. Her words are kind and flatter him, however, and he can't help but toss back his mane at that and move forward slightly, eight legs giving away his nervousness.]

[This Sigyn is young, before her heart even beats so fast for Prince Loki. She is tousled and she is eager to explore. She brushes past all others to come to the great horse's side.]

How fare you, little one? I see Loki's mischief in your great eyes. [She produces a plump apple from the inside of her cloak and offers it up.] A present to the child of my friend.

[He pulls his head back slightly, startled by how quickly she comes to his side. That's strange, strange indeed. And she is so young, he can see now, that perhaps she doesn't know...hasn't become attached to his parent quite yet.

Though, oh holy Allfather, that is an apple and it looks whole and delicious and almost as delectable as a giant cube of sugar. A brief glance between the bearer of his snack and the snack itself is all he gives before plucking it out of her hand, tongue and teeth brushing against her as gently as he can manage.]

[She giggles when his tongue and teeth brush against her hand.] That tickles! [She watches him take the apple, smiling growing ten-fold.]

I hope you like it. It was the most beautiful shade of red on the valley trees.

[Tickles? He hasn't heard that since he was a colt, and that was a long, long time ago.

Gratefully (she did bring it to him, after all, as much as she currently confuses him), he dips his head down, allowing her to touch his muzzle if she so desires.]

[Sigyn reaches out a hand in eagerness to touch the horse's muzzle, but she pauses.]

[Asking for permission? How else can he make it more obvious?

Friendly as can be, he pushes his muzzle out nearer to her hand, whinnying as he shakes his muscular neck. His mane shakes out around him, but those dark eyes remain on her.]

[Sigyn brightens, a hop in her stop, and she moves her hand to Sleipnir's muzzle and runs her fingers over his soft hide, affectionately paying attention to his muzzle's underside.]

You are a champion warrior, I can tell.

[That? That is a really nice spot for her to have found and latched onto.

Oh, more flattery. Champion warrior? Hel yes he is! The steed of the Allfather whose spent plenty of time with his ravens and can travel anywhere is completely pleased at her words. As such, he whinnies again, lips parting back to reveal teeth carved with runes before his tongue parts out in a rather silly gesture.]

[She giggles again.]

You have your father's humor!

[She places a tiny kiss against his muzzle.]

[Really? He doesn't see his father so much (or at all anymore), so he can't really compare. Either of his parents, that is.

Brave Warrior? Champion warrior? Yes, yes, give him more, more flattery! He'll just keep tossing his mane and whinnying for a moment before lifting three legs to stretch out at completely different angles.]

Have you seen great lands far beyond Asgard's walls? You have ridden over fields of death and blood. You must know far more than the Allfather himself.

[Whoa, whoa, that's crazy talk, Sigyn! He's not Huginn or Muninn, after all, he doesn't get as much "out" time as them, but...but his animal eyes may sometimes catch more than his rider...more crazy talk!

He looks around before his eyes become half-lidded and he shakes his head uncertainly. If the Allfather ever heard of this...]

[Sigyn puts a gentle hand against Sleipnir's muzzle. A tender look in her eyes.]

It is all right, little one. I would laugh in the Allfather's face if given the chance. Think me reckless and silly. I am but Vanir after all. [She sighs.] I am bred of the most ill-reputed stock.

[Heeey, hey, chill out, goddess. It's not like he's about to go running off the mouth about it all.

HEY ODIN GUESS WHAT SIGYN SAID TODAY

He's not the one whose duty it is to tell him everything that's been seen/heard in a day, after all.

At her mention of being one of ill-repute, he gives what can only be a horse's frown, chomping his teeth together a few times and exhaling loudly, some snot flying out a bit.]

[She laughs, wiping the mucus from her sleeve.]

Come now, Sleipnir. You know of my mother. Of the gold about her neck and its own story. Perhaps it is why I am so short than the other women of my age. [She takes his muzzle into her hands.] I am not reckless. I am compassionate. Let me believe this false truth a little longer.

[A little longer? But she has forever and ever to believe as she will. She's a goddess, and immortal, after all. Kind of comes with the territory.

He allows her to take him between her hands, chomping his teeth a few times again before letting his tongue waffle about and cause her skin to become slippery.]

[She scrunches her nose a bit, still smiling. Her hands may now be sticky with horse saliva, but she doesn't care.]

I apologize for prattling. I am boring, I know.

[THERE'S A REASON THAT YOU AREN'T REMEMBERED, SLEPNIR. It's the fact that getting pregnant is embarrassing.]

He spots his parent and automatically stamps a good six of his eight feet in a form of eagerness. His tail comes up to smack against his buttocks and back, and then he's elegantly trotting over to Loki, tossing his head so that his mane shows well.

Look, he's making himself pretty.]

[Probably because it's the saliva of THE BEST HORSE EVER, right?

He shakes his head. No, she's not boring. He just doesn't know what to do besides slobber all over and let her pet him without being cranky about it.]

[Arrrrgh why couldn't you be an arm eating wolf or a giant snake like your other siblings? There's a reason you're not the favorite and it's because you're making yourself pretty.]

[He says, while keeping a lookout for any of the other gods. If Thor or Odin show up, he's ditching you, horsekid]

[She laughs.]

Do not reserve your actions, Sleipnir. I am not of the ladies who bounces about in silks and bemoans over broken footwear. I believe I even threw footwear at some ladies, once....
