There are many errors in your current decisions. Allow me.

1. Decent conversation and Lucifer do not go hand in hand.
2. Your whim to return me will dissipate as fast at it arose. It always does.
3. Time, or lack there of. Spare me the 'writing exercise' excuse.

I will not waste time wandering for conversation that reaps no rewards.
I have no desire to engage with other 'cross-canon' brothers or what have you.

Handle yourself. As I see it, your battle with sloth, envy, and pride is not looking in your favor. You may want to focus more on this than on me.

It's an agreed upon definition these days. I'm not sure who came up with the word first as we know it today, but humans often seem to have a distinct thirst for knowledge so I wouldn't put it past them.

Why? What is your definition of truth?

[personal profile] never_nor 2014-09-13 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well it's an abstract concept. The idea of "truth" would of always existed no matter what name you put to it.

[He laughs.]

Oh wow. I thought I was going to be sarcastic when I was thinking you would say that. That his word was the one and only truth. Even off the leash like you are he has you trained to follow his word without question.

Truth is the undeniable. Your father's word is not undeniable.

[He has refrained from calling him "brat" only because fighting with Michael would be far more boring than this.]

Perhaps I had shown you some measure of intellectual respect. After all you must know that it is within your creator's power to lie or withhold information. To deny that would be to deny his omnipotence. If there's something he can't do then he is not all powerful.

Then of course there is the reason why he would lie to you about some things. I admit I haven't flipped through that bore of a book in some time, but didn't he say he was a jealous god? That means he has something to be jealous of. Would more of your kind defect if they knew there were other beings which they could align themselves with?

[Well that managed to get a surprised look out of him. After what Michael had said earlier he hadn't expected him to be so self-aware on this topic. He eventually settled into a displeased look.]

At least you are honest with yourself. I have to wonder why you would stay with someone who would lie to you so thoroughly? Is it just religious zeal or did your father just design the perfect lap dog?

I suppose it would make sense that the most loyal would be one who only has loyalty to his father and not his brothers or even himself. After all you don't care if you are being lied to or your loyalty abused. What should you care what happens to your brothers? Oh but if they break from the status quo they will get the business end of your giant flaming sword.

Don't worry Baxter was trying to hit his buttons xD

[personal profile] never_nor 2014-09-14 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh now that gets a surprised look followed by a mouthless smile. Baxter wasn't afraid just amused.]

Did I hit a nerve? Seems that I have.

Rather than getting angry at me maybe you should see if I'm wrong. After all if your brothers aren't being abused and lied to then you have the peace of mind knowing that is the fact of it. If not you can make your decision of what to do from there.

After all even if you somehow kill me it won't change what I've said to you.

No need to apologize for character reactions anyway. If everyone got along it would be boring

I never said I was devoid of dilemma. Blind obedience isn't among them though, but we may be similar in one respect.

[He's talking pretty casually.]

I am civilized with you, but it is not in my nature to be. I'm a terrible creature, the literal stuff of nightmares. However I stop myself. I stop myself because it would interfere with what I truly want to do. It's not easy and it doesn't always feel satisfying. Any of this sounding familiar?

[In his mind Michael had this problem twofold. There was his wrath, but also what Baxter thought might be the Brat's brainwashing. Always be faithful and obedient no matter what. Both of these seemed to be counter-intuitive to what Michael truly cared about. Michael didn't release his rage when Baxter insinuated his Father was anything less than perfect. No it wasn't until he called into question the love Michael had for his brothers that he seemed to react.]

No it's the satisfaction of the Father that is, I know I know. I was talking about your wrath though. I could feel that hate you had for me earlier. Had I said anything else to make you hate me so I imagine I would of gotten to see your sword first hand.

[He's rather obviously not scared.]

Though I do have to say the God of your world is far more clever than the one of mine. He's programmed you into being obedient either through actually creating you that way or indoctrination, I would have to know more to be sure. The God of mine rules his Angels by fear.

When he "drops" an Angel he finds no longer useful they become demons. No longer having the vestiges of their intelligence they are confused, angry things. Lucifer tries to ease their suffering, but he can't do much for them. As far as I can tell this is what most Angels fear the most. Especially since it seems he's dropping them more frequently as of late.

I have to say I really like your Michael, he's pretty interesting

[personal profile] never_nor 2014-09-14 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Just musing over the differences. You're loyal by default, but the God leading the Angels in my world has to use fear. Maybe he's a more horrible designer?

[Though he is enjoying ruffling Michael's feathers. He has no love for The Brat after all.]

[Oh he saw that one coming.]

Maybe, but as far as I know yours didn't write anything about creating other universes. The book talks about the creation of Heaven and Earth. Granted even that's a lie in my world, but the point is you're predisposed to believe what he says and everything else is up for debate. Right?
never_nor: (Humans)

[personal profile] never_nor 2014-09-14 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh not at all. I know it had to go through the filter of humans. It's a common problem actually for anyone who doesn't physically show themselves anymore.

However my point still stands if he never told you he created more than one universe. I'm just getting the feeling he didn't talk directly to you all that much.

[Just a feeling. If he was more personable Michael would have a lot more to say about his God's character. Instead it was pretty blind allegiance.]

So did he tell you any differently? If he did make my universe it would beg the question as to why he would let someone else use his identity and presumably create Angels ruled by fear.

Not often, but I don't know very much about that. We don't exactly get along. Being a "false" God they've been charged with trying to kill me or told to run at my sight.

[Hard to talk when they're dead-set on trying to capture or kill him.]

I wouldn't know. I don't have a Father. I just have my Brother.

I'm just trying to get you to admit you don't know if he's the creator of my world or not. Nothing more than that.
never_nor: (Default)

[personal profile] never_nor 2014-09-14 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It just makes any conversation we might have about my world a little easier if we don't keep coming back to that point.

[He shrugs.]

Though I've realized I've been the one really leading this conversation on. I imagine by now you have a few questions for me at the very least.
never_nor: (Am I that predictable)

[personal profile] never_nor 2014-09-14 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well he could accept that answer. Though that question did manage to catch him a little off guard. He decided to be truthful.]

He is called The Dreamweaver. He was created with the evolution of man and his dreams. Because of this he only needs dreamers to survive unlike most who need worshipers.

I call him brother because Father doesn't seem like the right word. I was born from him in a way, but it was not a conscious decision and how we related to each other afterwards make me think more of brothers than say yourself and your Father.

As you might of guessed I'm his opposite. A God of nightmares.
