There are many errors in your current decisions. Allow me.

1. Decent conversation and Lucifer do not go hand in hand.
2. Your whim to return me will dissipate as fast at it arose. It always does.
3. Time, or lack there of. Spare me the 'writing exercise' excuse.

I will not waste time wandering for conversation that reaps no rewards.
I have no desire to engage with other 'cross-canon' brothers or what have you.

Handle yourself. As I see it, your battle with sloth, envy, and pride is not looking in your favor. You may want to focus more on this than on me.

Demi-God.

[ Matters of family has always concerned him. Now more than ever. He does not care about this other god who command angels in this creatures world. He does not and will not consider this other creature a god nor his brother one. Angels preside over many things. They created, formed, and protect sections of the world. Concepts. Ideas. So on and so forth. They were not gods. They were Angels. ]

And what do you require to retain your power.

That means something else in the larger context of my world. Demigods are beings born from man and god. I won't argue with you if you feel like you must use that word for me though. It's a step-up from Heathen. If you still find it frustrating you could call us deities.

[He chuckles a little.]

The same thing as my Brother. Dreamers. Instead of creating dreams however I consume them and spew forth nightmares.

Of course given my sphere of power I'm intimately aware of what every being fears.

You're strangely humble. [ whether that is a compliment or not is hard to tell. ]

I just know it's a losing and boring battle right now. Obviously you don't like the idea of calling me a god so if another word gets the conversation moving then I'm fine with it. To me it's just a species identifier. You're an Angel and I'm a Deity.

[He gives a nod.]

I can tell you that you do not want me to demonstrate it though. I can present you with your most intimate fears. Most can't stay rational when presented with such a thing.

[ He can tolerate Diety. He'll tolerate Diety, yes. That is acceptable. Really, attempting to deal with Michael when you are on an opposite side of him and remain rational is sometimes very difficult. Well done. ]

What is it you want to do. You mentioned before that being so civil is not in your nature.

I've learned to be civil, but I was born a very animalistic creature. Something of need and want. I changed because of one other deity.

[He might be telling more than he usually would, but Michael for all his faults wasn't the worst listener in the world.]

It would be easy for me to go on a rampage, but it won't accomplish what I want to do. I have to be smart. I'm trying to overthrow The Brat. Also from here-on let's just agree when I say Brat, I mean the God of the Angels in my world. I don't personally know your God so I've got no personal vendetta against him.

[ He would readily accept that this creature would call his 'god' brat. Really, he could call him anything he wished. ] Tell me of this other deity.

Her name is or I guess was Nor. She was a deity of sunflowers, obviously not the strongest among us. She was very kind and the reason I learned to control myself. She would of much sooner been your friend if it was possible than be your enemy. She was my light.

[This was the first time Michael would see a look of sadness on Baxter's face. He was very sincere in his words about Nor.]

The Brat saw fit to have that light extinguished. He used the other deities to get to me. One of them, Ares, killed Nor. Being so weak and with so few followers it was the end of her. As much as I wish for it to be the case I suspect we do not have an afterlife when we truly die.

[ If God created all things and these things were not of sin then he would not need to strike them down. So long as they decide to mind their tongue. When Michael was not a General, though, when he was not a Chief of battle and war, he was a Seraph. He was born a Seraph who knew love. Who only knew love and family and Grace. His Grace might have left Michael but Michael did not forget. ]

Vengeance will not sooth you. What will you do when you strike him down; how will it profit you? You should remember her love.

I will admit it is not my own intention, but if I were to end the Brat then the others would not have to fear being killed by him. As it stands the Brat will eliminate them or subjugate them.

Nor was loving, but I know she wouldn't want so many others to be in pain because I stayed my hand that I have used for far more selfish reasons.

[He will admit that won't bring Nor back though.]

I'm not sure what I will do after that. I imagine I won't find true solace, but it's the only thing I can do other than simply living and keeping her memory.

[ He is silent for a long time and considers many words to say but chooses these: ] You do not seem to fear your proclaimed angels. Your nature, perhaps, does not allow it. But you should. If they are anything like mine.

I've fought them before. They can't best me properly and have to use a trick to bind me in great numbers.

If I wasn't able to best Angels I would not be standing here. I do admit though that I think you would present a greater challenge if we were ever to be opponents.

[He's actually trying to approach this respectfully rather than pointing out the fact he has killed Angels directly. Michael seemed to understand necessity or war at the very least.]

[ he understood war painfully well. ]

I see. If you did not claim yourself as a god perhaps this issue would not exist.

Keep in mind this isn't your God.

This one was born like the rest of us. Imagine him more like a king or dictator so controlling he has to take over every land or destroy it trying.

In the Realm of our birth we had an area to rule over, but there were also common areas. As The Brat gained in power his soldiers patrolled those areas and could accuse anyone at their own leisure without any evidence.

He was systematically eliminating the other deities to rise in power.

[ He's quiet a moment because even if this is not his God he can't merely side with something he does not believe in. Besides, Michael is also a General. ]

Not entirely unwise. How is it you plan to dispose of him, then?

You are right so far it is working in his favor. Certainly had I not escaped there's a good chance no one would be able to stop him or even try. He has the others afraid.

[With no mouth he couldn't smile, but Michael would get the distinct sense that he was.]

The Brat is not the only Deity with a powerful following. I've been made aware that one of those large religions no longer has a seat to its throne. Once I find out which deity has left its throne then I will take it for myself and the power that comes with it. Despite not needing followers myself that throne allows for great power.

From there I imagine his soldier's defense against me will fade. I will burst down the gates and consume The Brat. Even if that is not the case I should be powerful enough to have my own army to meet them in battle.

You sound like Belial. [ What kind of trainwreck would that be if this thing and that foul creature met. Lord have mercy. ]

I don't think I've met Belial.

[Though he can probably guess Belial was a demon.]

Outside of my abilities when it comes to fear I can also consume something and take on aspects from them. The Brat's meddling has made things work a little more strangely, but I can work within the parameters of it.

These wings for instance were not always something I had.

[They were more bat-like than feathery so Michael could be reasonably sure they didn't come from anything resembling an Angel.]

[ He was an Angel, actually. Although Michael would say that he was no longer, some Fallen manage to keep just enough of themselves in tact. If he has the mind to do so he might question why and how that was but alas. Michael was gifted with intense loyalty. Twas Lucifer who was plagued with curiosity. Usually. When Michael said he was curious about something he usually meant he was judging you for something. Such in this case: ]

A curious thing. How did you come into formation if not for the Lord. Is there no omnipresense in your world?

[It was a good thing Baxter didn't care about being judged.]

None that has made itself known. As we've come to understand it we come from humans, not the other way around. Their formation and faith created us. My brother the weaver of their dreams. Thor and the like aspects of the cultures that they were birthed from.

If our world was birthed from your God he left us to our own devices well before any of us could remember.

I see. [ He has nothing further to ask. Not now, anyway. ]
