savetheearth on dubious echoes
Alright, I've had a lot of time on my hands.
And I still don't get the purpose of that damned outfit.
What's the functional benefit of a suit made of some kind of spandex and thigh-high boots? Who the hell makes that? Why would I wear it? Is there some kind of tactical advantage? Anything?
I can't think of a single use that wouldn't be better filled by something else.
So why would I have it?
[ooc: He's referring to this lovely getup]

For example, you could see someone dressed like a police officer... if you were a criminal, you'd be wary just by seeing the uniform, even if you didn't know if he was a good shot or even armed, right?
no subject
That certainly is a good point, one he wouldn't have considered]
I guess that could be the case, although I don't know what kind of warning it'd be to anybody.
no subject
... I suppose it depends on the place and what message is linked to the suit.
no subject
Not at this point, at any rate.

[Kino's gaze hardens.]
Take care not to lose your life.

I'd be pretty damn hard to get rid of.

For what, the villain for some sentai squad?

Worked after all.
[He'd wondered if objects would vanish or return to where they belonged, but this place doesn't work like Locke does.
And give him a few moments here...]
What do you mean by that?
no subject
Yet still]
...You can't be serious.
no subject
[Yes, this is his reply.
And now Lelouch has some indication of what little he recalls aside people dying]

[He's snickering at his expense. Just a little.]

[Damnit don't laugh at him]
no subject
[He wasn't laughing. Just snickering. A mild chortle. A little teehee. Come on, Suzaku, you can take it.]
It's a flight suit, by the way.
no subject
I doubt there could be a list for such a thing.
[Level of dubiousness only rises]
Why this and not something less [tries to think of a different word, gives up] ...ridiculous?
no subject
He raises an eyebrow.]
Try me. [The challenge is a light one. A confident one.
And that's his crossed arms tensing, don't call his aesthetic sense "ridiculous" Suzaku.]
Personally I find the embellishment fitting of the rank of the one who wore it. Besides, the outfit provides a number of practical advantages-- ease of movement, for one --aside from being a natural choice for someone who is most comfortable in the seat of a Knightmare frame.

From the guy who likes everything he wears simple and purposeful]
I wouldn't call those boots practical. And I question what kind of pilot finds use for a thing like that.
[He tried it on once, he doesn't see this]

[The comment is dropped so casually it's hard to tell if he's being serious or not.]
