Please. You didn't even know my name until yesterday, and now you want to fling me willy nilly at everyone you know? It's ridiculous, is what it is, and it's not even that funny, honestly. You've got plenty of canon characters from my universe cluttering up your brain anyway, you might as well focus on them and leave well enough alone.

And really? That username? It sounds like an advertisement for a stupid product. Just because I've got Electro Bolt doesn't mean I'm "all spliced up", nor does it mean you can make fun of me. Seriously, leave me alone.

[for a long time Jace just sort of stands there a little ways away, staring at the ground and occasionally letting his eyes flick up to Nicholas for seconds at a time, trying to decide whether or not to approach or to say anything. Then finally he sighs and shuffles over, still keeping his distance because hey, paranoia is a great survival tool. Then when he's finally satisfied that he's not about to be ripped into pieces he cracks his knuckles a few times]

[he chews on his bottom lip and stares at Nicholas' feet, meeting his eyes for just a brief moment, and then it's too much for him. He can't help being curious though]

What does all spliced up mean?

[electrifier]

[He frowns. This guy is acting kind of strange, but he'll answer him anyway. There's a lot of strange people around lately.]

It means on drugs that can give you powers, and stuff. And I mean, sure, I kind of am.

[He flexes his hand, and a spark of electricity runs down it. If that doesn't make you more paranoid, Jace, he's not sure what will.]

But it's not like I'm doing it on a regular basis. I just got this to show for it.

[oh my god holy shit what was that!? Jace just leaps backward a few steps, hands outstretched in front of him like they're some sort of impenetrable shield or something. Sort of like how a bird tries to make itself look bigger by puffing up its feathers, but it's not very effective. Then, when he realizes the other man was merely demonstrating, he calms down, though just slightly]

You take drugs to give you special abilities?

[he frowns a little]

That seems... dangerous.

It is dangerous. Kind of. I mean, they're addictive. But I'm not all strung out like a lot of people.

[He stops flexing his hand, realizing that the electricity is making Jace uncomfortable.]
