So it's been a year since my story unfolded. And the anniversary went very quietly, I suppose? While you've been quite nice to me, Lady Mun*, I do miss the attention from the kingdom of fan a little bit. You know, the simple days when my relevant tags on Tumblr actually featured me or players of cos dressing up as me. Now I'm swimming amongst the Young Avengers self, even when he's not looking like a kid! Gross. It's exactly what he wanted, didn't he? How come the pre-puberty other "kid Loki" is more popular with the masses** than me? Is it the nail varnish?

Well, I don't know... I am aware a bunch of Midgardians like me a lot, but everyone is distracted these days with the sexy adult Lokis that young lassies and lads can fancy. I'm a much better woobie than they'd ever dream to be. I didn't even need leather trousers like the guy who looks like Tom Hiddleston with a bad wig***.

Anyway, tl;dr. I do miss my fandom and how they're drifting to YA and Thor 2.

* Even if you spent the week with that ridiculous lawmen video game. I'm onto you, milady.
** He's not ~hip~ just because he watched Game of Thrones or does flashbacks with my stolen an Instagram account. He doesn't even know Voldemort's name! If that doesn't tell them he's a poser, I don't know what might.
*** That's some seriously ugly mane, sorry to say.

Well, she's happy you think so -- Can I do anything for you? You shouldn't feel bad about that. People just likes to follow the latest trends sometimes, it doesn't mean they have forgotten about you.

Yes, the trendy part I can understand. I'm familiar with social networks after all. I think what pains me is not that he has fans, because he had them before he was young and hot, but how many of them only know us "kid Lokis" from his series and aren't aware there are two of us. He even inherited my same nickname! It's most confounding, especially in what used to be my tag. Granted, that's likely what he expected: to take over everything.

But thank you so much for the kind offer for help. It escapes our influence so there's nothing we can do, so just a lent ear is good enough.

Maybe you should avoid those places for a while... a few months until the movie trend calms down. It sounds they are reminding you what happened and upsets you. But you're here now, you know, he didn't take over everything as long you can talk like this and just be yourself.

That's a wise approach, yes. It shouldn't end when the movie hype dies, as there's still the current comic Loki around with a brand new book by then, but hopefully they'll agree on a new tag for that guy and leave mine be.

I'm grateful for that and the advice. I shall try to look less over my Mun's shoulder when she checks on the kingdom of fan.

What if your mun proposes the new tag? Have you asked her to lend you a helping hand. They aren't all that bad sometimes. Some might listen to her just to keep things organized.

They're mostly debating between "teen Loki" and "young adult Loki", as far as I know. But considering she did offer a new tag for Loki-using-my-body (she uses "young Loki" for that one and "douchecanoeki" when she feels annoyed by him, but that's more in general) almost a year ago and it didn't stick, I'm not sure if such full agreement can be reached. People still used "Kid Loki" for both. But then again, it's early to tell and the scribes are still in transition. I'm more hopeful this time because it's a different shift in shape.

I suppose that it'll be complicated. I think most of them honestly discern the differences between you two --speaking of my mun's experiences-- but it's a matter of laziness to be creative with the labels. Plus they wouldn't want to "confuse" newbies to the fandom. It doesn't make it any better to be reminded of the identity theft, though, I'm sorry about that.

My whining aside, I'm aware that's a case-to-case basis. If they started with YA, higher chance they had no idea and are still confused a bit. If they've been reading comics from before that or have been educated by fellow fans, then they do understand perfectly. Funny enough, the author had avoided to call him anything but just "Loki", but interview scribes tended to add the "Kid" part in ignorance.

But now I feel less angry, so I suppose this venting thing worked nicely. My thanks again.

Oh yes, I do understand perfectly. We're lumped together, the whole of us, and he's considered the mainstream important one. I'm pretty sure there are Midgardians absolutely convinced that you and I are just teen versions of him instead of our own, with our own personality and not evil -probably never will be by the merits of limited canon, thank you very much.

My Lady Mun really enjoyed your movie, incidentally.

Well, that much is appreciated. I'd really rather none of that incident had been made public, but barring corrective time travel...

In any case, yes, the whole mess of it does lead to both unavoidable existential crises and getting assaulted by my brother's friends.

Take it from my canon, corrective time travel is just unnecessary mess and ensuring the existence of prestablished time paradoxes instead of avoiding bad stuff. And yours makes for a good story and went better than other versions of that clandestine trip to Jotunheim. [discreet cough directed to MCU]

Have you been bullied by other dimensions' superheroes of Midgard, or do you mean the Warriors Three plus Sif?

Well, I was referring to the Midgardians. Sif and the Warriors Three were entirely ready and indeed eager to antagonize me without any need for outside influences. There's this irritating man with a trick bow...

Aw, the Eye of Hawk. Unfortunately he's the only one from the Sassy Six I haven't had the fortune or misfortune to meet so I lack any good advice on handling him. But he can't be worse than the Hulk. Did you meet that one or his scholar alter ego? His punches hurt enormously and he's capable of making us fly for yards. Not recommended to engage. With the Captain and the Man of Iron of that canon I've had the nicest experiences, but that openmindedness might be only the versions I've met in particular. All the Thors I've seen were naïve but nice. Black Widow, however, has had the good sense to mistrust me.

Thor, I'm quite fond of. It's nice to have an idea that my brother might grow up halfway capable of navigating the worlds without unmitigated disaster following. As for the others, I found Stark profoundly irritating, his lady perfectly reasonable, and those others that I've met quite inclined to mistrust me. Tis no concern of mine how they feel, and I'd mistrust me too, under the circumstances. I only mind when there are physical assaults involved. Apprentice-level magic isn't really intended for combat.

Ah yes, I think the fact proud and mighty Thor can improve is the basis for a lot of realities. Then again, that also tends to go in hand with Loki getting worse at the same time. Which... might be the main reason of such a global distrust and preventive physical assaults? Assumptions are as awful as the Loki they've first met. May you never grow up to be one of such Lokis yourself, I truly hope so.

I'm just starting to learn my magics and all in my game, so I'm less powerful than yourself in every sense here. So, I extend further the warnings against the Hulk and Lady Black Widow. If not even that adult ugly-haired Loki's sorcery and wits can defeat those two, we teenagers stand no chance.

I... find I prefer to avoid any conflict more biting than a sharp exchange of words or two, in any case. I'll try to go on not crossing their paths. Or, if nothing else, seeing if Milady Potts might put in a word for me. The woman has an unusual gift for soothing ruffled feathers, and given they're her friends and my own knack is really for the ruffling... Well.

Definition. Normally most used on villains or jerks, because a fair amount of girls and boys like bad boys, and embrace the idea of them being deep down adorable if you kiss them enough or something of the sort.

Not quite, sir. In the trend of woobiefication, it is important that the only "cute misunderstood guy" is the object of your affection. Everyone else, particularly their antagonists, are tagged cruel mean bullies (do not confuse with bulls, the word here means abusers) even when they're the good guys from the moral or protagonist approach. As you see, it's just selective idealism.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My Lady Mun is unfortunately not familiar with your canon yet, but from the future "castmates" she does know she's not surprised in the least to learn this fact. She and her circle of friends are in the unpopular opinion that most characters in Young Avengers are... either off or gimmicky. My main writer should stick perhaps to epic meta fantasy or inventing new characters instead of misusing someone else's. He also took me in a different direction than my original writer, but in my case it worked because he's good with my type. Yours, or earnest late teenagers like the first Avengers of Young, not so much.
