On shameless enabling (...or not).
The likelihood that my presence being what makes others want to join is slim at best. I'm not exactly Selphie, you know. [ That girl can get people to join the Garden Festival even when they walk away saying "no." Maybe it's time to take some tips from her? ]
Still, I appreciate the effort. Just remember that if someone is interested to not push too much. It's inconsiderate and tactless. On the other hand, try not to sound disinterested, either. There's a fine line that separates the two.
[ But wait! One more thing before she leaves! ] And thank you for not humiliating me. Yet.

[ Those are basically the only people she talks to in Holly Heights. The guy she had a crush on was 25, after all... ]
Why would you think that I'd like him?

He's nicer...

Than?
...2/2!

[ And Excuse you my outfit is just fine. ]

[ One, be frank with her and two, all that leather and fur and accessories while living in a tropical climate... ]

Maybe it works that way for you, but not for me.
[ Now she's upset. What if she's been replaced? It's not like she was ever that important to him, anyway. It would be easy to replace her... ]

[ He's not good at tone. He's excellent at joking. Jerk. ]

[ Girl's got fans that would pay to be whipped by her, you know! ]

[ Then they can take the whipping for him. ]

Thanks for talking to me, Squall.

Understandably.
So, Seifer and that guy, Laguna... is it really so bad? Laguna seems nice enough. And Seifer's only a jerk when he's not... well, I don't know what's going on with him. [ She surmises that he's being controlled somehow. And while "jerk" isn't particularly professional, he's not an instructor anymore and frankly? He acts that way these days. Long gone are the days when he was her favorite student. Strange how a year can change things... ]

How's he taking it? [ Her voice is low, gentle. As quiet and brooding as Squall is, he made friends easily (unintentionally). Seifer was different. He also pushed people away and... well, part of her worries that he has no one. If he showed up here like she and Squall did, he wouldn't have Selphie or Zell or Squall to come talk to him about what happened. She thinks he must be a little lonely, even if he'd never admit it. ]

[ He raised an eyebrow. ]

[ Why did he have to latch onto that? Why couldn't he awkwardly talk about Seifer being a brat, instead? ]
Chances are I'll be alone for the next month, too.
