writing up his nu!trek comic history haha sobs why
Out of a total of twenty-five comics you have collected twenty-two and committed three-thousand, five-hundred and twenty-nine words to the dissection of fifteen. This is insufficient data from which to extrapolate thorough character references and leaves out a considerable berth of experience. A total of six-thousand words should prove an enlightening task to begin with and will serve its purpose long after your work is done. If you insist on eventually taking satisfaction in a comprehensive report concerning my service on the Enterprise you will need to redouble your efforts in documentation or I cannot speak as to a reliable level of accuracy.
[ it's called relaxing omg just kill me u slavedriver ]
Neither would that solve the problem of your lackadaisical attitude when it comes to "taking breaks" which I have not sanctioned. Case in point.

Wouldn't you like to take a break, too?

I really don't think berating someone is going to get you the results you're looking for.

[ No one can tell Spock that writing out reports isn't a good time and if you argue with him you are either stupid or just plain wrong. #snootysciencenerds ]
Perhaps if you were to submit one of your mission logs, I could more clearly define parameters upon which you might improve. It would be no trouble.

[ he's kind of amused, though. just a little.

I am overseeing it. [ THAT SAYS EVERYTHING, clearly. ] It is simply too short to include each salient point of import.

I will respect your judgement on the matter, but it sounds as if you are suggesting that you do not believe it is possible to make a succinct report, or that there is any such a thing as an extraneous detail.
[ That's just how it sounds, mind you.
Just how efficient are you, young blood?]no subject
a Vulcan broom
or something more amazing than that, shut up. He's a broom with warp capabilities. ]
Once a full report is comprised, it will then be appropriate to curtail both the length and content. Until such a time, I would prefer a full measure of attention is devoted and an innate understanding of the subject committed to memory.

He resisted this cross-contamination for years, don't you give in so easily. The light bounce of brows equivocates to a shrug, along with a small, thoughtful nod. ]
That is your prerogative.
[ Whatever works; it does not seem to him ineffective by any means. He has come to accept there is no one true path to any solution. ]
However, I would hope you would be mindful that you cannot hold a Vulcan standard to a human; that would hardly be logical. There is a crux between constructive encouragement and a dictatorship. It can be difficult to ascertain.
[ He's on your side, really. There's a charming little tilt of his head, a suggestion of some sort of smile even if his features do not belie it ( of course not ). ]
In my experience, one can discern such a point by comparative analysis of the writing before and after the initial complaint. It will not benefit you to prompt sub-par work.

It is unfortunate Nurse Chapel is no longer aboard to provide her unwavering attention to detail. There is clearly no way of knowing when else you decide to "clock out".

[This coming from a cat who's been in space for 6 months just to make it to Earth. Though his lips don't move, his voice transmits from the glowing collar around his neck as he looks up at the Vulcan.]
I'm pretty sure humans need a break now and again, maybe you should cut them some slack.
