Of course he did! I'm the bright spark in the Venus Djinn world, thank you very much!
Flint obviously didn't tell ya much if you had to ask me THAT. But if you're already having issues with these mun guys, you may not be GROUNDED enough for my level.
[There's a lot she could say here. "It's good to see you again," "I hope you've been well," "Where is your mundane thinking about putting you?" and so many other things.
That sounds like her. [She loves Jenna, she really does, but even Sheba has to admit that she can change her mind quickly.]
Of course I haven't. It hasn't been that long since Mars Lighthouse, for me... it looks like it's been longer for you, though. [His face doesn't look that much older, but the beard... that must have taken time and effort.]
30 years. And you'll be glad to know that you were right: Jenna and I were an item.
[Their relationship might have its ups and downs, but he will always care for her in one way or another. And it's because of her that he has his son. Matthew is the best gift anyone could ever have given him.
His only regret is that they don't spend more time together as a family.]
Ivan frowns quizzically, then tries to make eye-contact, attempting to read the man's mind. There is something extremely familiar about him, but unfortunately, as long as Ivan doesn't know who he is, he's considered completely fair mind-reading game.]
[Isaac knows, of course. When doesn't he know? He shakes his head, but doesn't block Ivan from reading his mind. Instead, he has a few choice thoughts made available to him.]
I thought we were past this whole mind reading thing, Ivan.
[Ivan immediately flinches in surprises and bounces backwards, lightly landing on the balls of his feet.] Isaac?
[Ivan blinks owlishly, then leans forward, squinting at Isaac's face.] Since when did you get so old? And... [His brow creases in confusion.] And where did the beard come from?
[He nods. Ivan always was one of his more intelligent friends.] You got it.
It's been a long time since our journey's end. [Oh, Ivan, you wound him. He is hardly old. At least, he doesn't have gray hair and wrinkles as their dear friend Kraden does. He smiles though, because the way the mind readers say exactly what is on their minds is refreshing.]
Jenna thought it might be a good idea for me to grow it out. She wasn't too fond of it when I finished, but I like it a lot.
Mine looked at some of the games that were mentioned around here already. The one with the ships that you're going to, the tower that Jenna and Ivan and some others are in, [His expression becomes darker here. That Jenna may have been from his past, but she is still Jenna, and she has been through far too much for her going to such a place to sit well with him.] and the one with the wings... At the moment she is undecided, however.
I would feel much better if we were all together in a much safer place. But at least if anyone had to be in danger, it's people like us who are capable of standing up to it.
I too would feel much better if we were all together, but you're already aware of how these mundanes can be. They're very inconsistent in all of their thoughts and plans. My own has considered sending me to both the Tower and the village with the wings at separate times, and she has yet to finalize her plans for me to go sailing on that other sea.
It seems that the best we can ask of these muns is to let us remain quietly as we are, but even that fate...
[He was lost to Lemuria. He didn't want to be live quietly for too much longer.]
We have more power than you might think. After all, on some level, these muns do care about us. So we use what we can to our advantage. You look older than most of your friends - so you should be sure to look out for them, wherever you may end up.
They've got another thought coming. [He says with a hint of smug grin. Aang doesn't mind looking like a tough guy sometimes. ...Of course, it's only his younger self who is actually stuck in one of those games.
But he goes with the wind and lightens his own mood as well, stroking at his beard confidently.]
I know! They're super manly! [An immortal inner 12 year old is often blending into his words.] I've never felt cooler before in my life. I just don't know why it took so long for my wife to really appreciate it.
[It's a good thing Isaac isn't a Jupiter Adept, because otherwise his mental eardrums might have been pierced by the scream that just went through Jenna's mind right now.]
Isaac?!
[THIS WAS NOT WHAT SHE EXPECTED TO SEE WHEN HER MUN YANKED HER OUT OF THE HEADSPACE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE JANUARY OF THIS YEAR.]

[It's very hard to tell if Isaac is serious or sarcastic right now.]
I hope my son behaved himself. I hope he didn't ever get you caught between a rock and a hard place.
[Isaac, no.]

...who told you a beard was a good idea?
Don't be sorry. This is great.
You haven't changed at all, Sheba.

So, how long has it been?

You'll find that these mundanes have a strange sense of humor. You should take a look at some of the 'games' they want to have us participate in.
...It's a surprise that they're even called 'games.'

Is there really? I wonder how it got there.

[Some of them already have, but that's beside the point. Isaac's mood lightens and he grins at Aang.]
Thanks. I like yours too. Pretty great, aren't they? They make you feel all rugged and... manly.
