As nice as it is of you to offer, the last thing I need is a vacation. [ Isn't that a nice idea? ] You think you know me so well, you should at least know that much. Have you seen what's on my plate?

[ Cassie is being polite, but she doesn't think it will last much longer. ] No matter where you send me or who you try to tempt me with, it won't be the same. [ She meant to say "what" not "who" but it's already in the past. ]

This is a bad idea. [ Cassie is doing a terrible job convincing her mun she doesn't want this. Conner's name was dropped enough times. ]

[ Cissie caught that, did she? ] Does it? [ It's what she just said. ] That's not the idea. [ But Cassie isn't denying her friend's statement. ]

I didn't think you'd be around here, Cissie, or anyone else for that matter. [ At least not anyone Cassie does or has considered a friend. ]

I missed you too, Cassie. [Still, she can't help grinning.] It's weird, but I've seen some of us hanging around here every now and then. I know I've seen Tim sometimes... it just depends on where you look.

[ The grinning is infectious because Cassie is doing it too. Seeing Cissie is a pleasant surprise, and makes the experience a little better. ]

I don't... [ Losing her words and grin for a moment while she considers Cissie's response, Cassie brushes it off with a question she wants answered anyway. ]

Does your Mun have you in one of these games? [ She says the word games with disdain because all of them are weird, and most of them terrible. Just the idea of those places being a "game" to anyone is infuriating. ]

Not at the moment. She wants to send me back to military school again, over at witchesreign, but I don't know if that's going to work out.

It's not that bad, since I've been there before and my teachers were pretty awesome... but it is military school.

Why would your mun want to send you there? Because regular school wasn't already annoying enough? [ Still, military school sounds better than some of the places her mun's looked at. ]

I wish. I think it's more like I get to learn alchemy and healing magic there, so it'd be an "interesting experience" compared to say, losing my memory or boarding a train.

Trust me, If I have to go somewhere I'd rather be somewhere I could at least help people. [ Cassie doesn't think her Mun has very good taste. ] But helping people isn't what my Mun is interested in right now. [ Much to Cassie's annoyance. ]

I don't know, but it kills me that they don't. :c

I'm someplace where I can help people. I wouldn't call it anything like home, but I can go back to Gotham whenever I need to, and still help people here.

I guess, sometimes. But it depends on the vacation.

Yeah, I can see that. Vacations from school are pretty great, but... I dunno. I get bored when there's no trouble for me to get into. [grin]

You've got a point. Without a little bit of trouble, there's no excitment. [ Or fun. Cassie hopes her Mun realizes this too. ] If my Mun turns out to be that boring, I'm quitting. [ Leaving the Mun behind for good. ]

At least tossing me out here has shifted my Mun's opinion on what sort of place she wants to send me. [ Which isn't a whole lot better from the place she started out. ]

CONNER!? [ Cassie is bursting with excitement before she gets the chance to figure out this isn't Conner from her world. The mixture of joy and relief she feels is too overwhelming. How can she possibly be smart in this situation? ]

I-- [ Words fail her. There's so much she wants to say... The tears threatening to spill down her cheeks speak volumes. Just maybe not to him. She's made mistakes like this before, but Cassie is not thinking about that when she tries to wrap her arms around him for a hug. ]

[That catches him off guard and he stares at her with a look of confusion. How does she know who he is and why is he getting such an emotional response out of her?]

How do you know who--[And then she's hugging him, which only adds to his confusion. Up until recently, he likely would have become angry that she was hugging him. He was still processing his emotions and the only person who ever wanted to hug him was M'gann. But after everything that had happened, he saw the comfort she experienced when Captain Marvel hugged her.]

Wait...how do you know who I am? I have no idea who you are. [Attempts to break free of her arms by stepping backwards.]

[ For a moment hugging him feels so familiar, and so warm; even if he is a little stiff. Unfortunately the feeling doesn't last long, it is replaced with sadness and just tiny bit of embarrassment. ]

Oh, I-- [ She steps back as soon as he does. Cassie can't cry, she won't. Not in front of someone that isn't her Conner. ]

Sorry. [ Maybe she could just fly away right now, not that he couldn't catch her. Probably. ]

Different world, different timeline... [ Apparently one where Superboy didn't know Wonder Girl. At least he's not crazy, or Hercules playing a nasty trick. ]

Sorry to disappoint. [For a moment, his voice and expression make him appear to be annoyed. He doesn't mean to come off that way but after dealing with Superman's rejection all the time, feeling like you don't measure up to someone's standards, has a sting to it.

However, he gets the whole multiverse thing, as well as what it's like for someone to not be what you expected them to be.] Are you okay?

Don't worry about it. I'm fine. [ She replies, coming off a little more cold than she mean to. It's better than sounding sad though. ]

[ This time Cassie manages a tiny smile and sticks her hand out to introduce herself. But she hesitates and looks down at what she's wearing; her Conner inspired jeans and red top. ] I'm Wonder Girl.
