As nice as it is of you to offer, the last thing I need is a vacation. [ Isn't that a nice idea? ] You think you know me so well, you should at least know that much. Have you seen what's on my plate?

[ Cassie is being polite, but she doesn't think it will last much longer. ] No matter where you send me or who you try to tempt me with, it won't be the same. [ She meant to say "what" not "who" but it's already in the past. ]

This is a bad idea. [ Cassie is doing a terrible job convincing her mun she doesn't want this. Conner's name was dropped enough times. ]

Some of the places out there don't look so great though. [ She's not scared, just so used to her world's variety of not so great. ]

Better than a place like this. [Folds his arms across his chest.

Pauses and thinks about some of the places he's head of.]

Most of the time, anyway. My mun almost sent me to a place where our worlds explode and then we end up on ship, but she sent Robin there instead.

At least there's plenty more to chose from, right? Each one crazier than the last.

Sounds like it. Whenever she finally sends me somewhere, it better be a place where I keep my powers.

[The thought of not having any of his powers makes for one unhappy Superboy.]

[ She completely agrees. ] And it better be a place where we can put them to good use. [ Otherwise, why bother with someone like her? ]

Exactly.

[Hesitates for a moment before he continues.]

The you that I know...that's what he does, right?

Yeah. That's what he... does. [ Cassie is glad she hesitates before saying "did," that would have been horrible. ]

He's a real hero. [ It's true, and a gross understatement. ]

Good.

[He's not sure how much else he wants to say. It sounds like the version of himself she knows is living up to the legacy.

For a moment he looks like he wants to ask her something else, but opts not to.]

You weren't expecting something terrible were you?

No, not really. I just get these images sometimes but it doesn't sound like it's something to worry about.

[ Cassie almost wants to tell him how similar he seems, but she won't. She only just met the guy. ]

I guess you're still fighting a never ending battle against evil in your world too. [ Or could it be kinda peaceful. This Conner is a live, and he looks good. ]

It really makes the idea of going anywhere else sound terrible, doesn't it? Maybe there's a lot more work to do in my world, but I'd rather have that. [ She shrugs slightly. ]

Why should we have to go anywhere else? Are our homes really that bad to our Muns? [ Of course, Cassie doesn't completely understand how this stuff works. But she's not interested in getting used to it either. ]
