Voice testing. For the given sense of voice testing, that is.
[Don't mind Sandy. He's just going to float in the air, napping quietly.
Until his mun gives him a nice metaphysical tap on the arm.
He shakes himself awake, then blinks sleepily, glancing around the new place. Huh. He didn't think his mun would actually try playing him, but okay. It's flattering that she wants to try, although it would have been nice if she had dropped him off somewhere near his friends. Speaking of...
Pictures made of golden sand start flickering over his head. An Easter Egg. A tooth. A Christmas tree. A snowflake. All of them are followed by a question mark while he floats around the area, searching for the other guardians. Or anyone at all, really. Despite not speaking, Sandy likes meeting new people.]

Now, that facepalm? Just perfect. Jack loves getting this kind of reactions from people. He cares a lot about Sandy, but that doesn't make him an exception. That other face though.... mmh.]
Whatever you're thinking of, just forget it. It's winter in half of the world, I got a job to do. [
keywordsHe puts an annoyed expression now.] Even if it doesn't snow in my mun's city.no subject
He gives a silent laugh at the fact that the mun of winter's shepherd lives where it doesn't snow. He's still smiling when the dream sand forms a little box (it looks like Candyland or something) and then a snowflake landing on the game box, besides which there's a question mark. He's wondering what game Jack's in, and if he's okay there.]
no subject
Now just give him a moment while he understands the charade... ah yes.]
You're asking about my game? It's... ok, I guess. [He has lots of mixed feelings about it. Let him try to explain.] I mean, in Asgard everyone can see me, I even get to play with the kids! It's amazing, Sandy, it's what I've always wanted! But also... I'm not the spirit of winter anymore. I'm human and I got new powers...
I don't know who I am. Again.

Sandy smiles warmly, and the image of a giant snowflake appears in his palm. He holds it up to show Jack, and then the sand snowflake melts, turning into what looks like a puddle made of sand that is still shaped exactly like the snowflake. Then the sand 'evaporates', turning into a rough approximation of gas, which still stays in a snowflake shaped.
It's hard to say with pictures, but no matter what form you take, no matter what power you have, you're Jack Frost. You're a Guardian, and you're a friend.
To Sandy, it's very simple.]

Jack watches confused at first, then he smiles, a mix of touched and a bit of sadness. BAWWW.]
Sandy... [He chuckles and shakes his head.] You sure know how to reach a guy, don't you?
[He returns the favor by making a Sandy silhouette out of frost. Look how cute it is!] It's still not fair, you know. The nerds got the ice powers.
[This is treason against the element of fun!!!]
no subject
Sandy laughs silently, making an image of a snowflake with glasses and a book. Hey, get a little more nerdy and you can bring fun to it.
Then he makes a snowflake symbol followed by an equals sign and a question mark. If you're not icy, what powers do you have?]
no subject
The image of the nerdy snowflake makes him roll his eyes. Sandy please.]
Yeeeeeah no. Not happening. North is the one who should go to Odin. [The bastard would get ice, not fire. Man, Jack wouldn't let him that pass.]
I got Telekinesis. You know, moving stuff with my mind? My patron god is Loki. He... [Jack grins.] ...chooses the tricksters, the pranksters.
no subject
Pff, North being able to shoot ice while Jack couldn't would be hilarious. The thought makes Sandy giggle a little.
And the choice of god makes Sandy outright laugh--silently, of course. Of course it would be Loki. Sandy makes a series of symbols over his head--all the signs of the other Guardians, and then a question mark. Is anyone else with you?
no subject
Silently or not, laughing Sandy is an awesome Sandy. Jack likes making people laugh, and if it's a fellow Guardian, it gets bonus points.
The question, though, makes him shake his head. He'll put up his best I TOTALLY NOT CARE face now, thank you.]
It's just me. We had an event recently where some of them visited... but it was temporary. [He shrugs.] My mun wants castmates, but I guess losing our powers is a deal-breaker for many. Everyone is humanoid enough not to change appearance but still...
[Lalalala totally not missing everyone, why are you talking about. Now making his staff whirl to avoid looking at Sandy in the eye.]
I... I admit the art house makes me think of you. All those people with the "drawing life" power... man, you'd kick their imagining butts.
no subject
Also, your 'totally not caring' face needs work. And your 'totally not caring' posture. He crosses his arms, looking at his mun with a frown. Come on, mun. Admittedly, it'd be hell trying to communicate without his dream sand, but he's a creative guy. He can figure it out. Hopefully. (And no, mun, he can't just talk. After enough years of not talking, you can't just go back.)
Then he looks back at Jack while a part of him is arguing with his mun, smiling again, a calender appearing over his head with a question mark next to it. How long have you been in your game?]
no subject
Jack can be a pretty good liar, but not when it comes to this kind of feelings. It's confusing and overwhelming, okay. And if Sandy ever comes to Asgard, he could just snatch the "drawing life" power - it pretty much works like his sand! He would just need to carry a pencil around. Heck, Jack would translate for him and talk in Sandy's place if that means he gets a fellow Guardian there.
yes please come to me aaaahWhile Sandy argues with his mun, Jack starts juggling with two snowballs. He isn't one for patience...]
How long I have been in Asgard? Let's see... Month and half, more or less. It feels like way longer though, there's always something going on there. There was this battle... [He makes a face and skips the topic.] I was five months in another game before this one, so I guess that makes it feel longer too.
no subject
He keeps his eyes on the snowballs, just in case Jack is hoping to catch him off guard, but he frowns at the mention of battle. Oh dear, what goes on at this game?
Above Sandy's head forms a smiley face, a slash mark, and then a frowny face followed by question mark. He's asking if Jack is okay at this game.]
no subject
Jack rolls his eyes. Why does nobody trust him by himself? ...wait, don't answer that.]
I'm fine, okay. The healers didn't even leave scars and my staff is fixed now. [Ahahaha... haha... ha...] The whole poisoning plot will over in a couple of days too, so there's nothing for you to worry about.
no subject
Damn it, Jack, between you and the other Jack, Sandy's going to have a stroke. The dream sand forms the image of a bottle with a skull and crossbones on it followed by a question mark. What is this about poisoning?]
no subject
He catches both snowballs with one hand to let the other run his fingers through his hair.]
There's this... spy, that was caught before I arrived. He escaped during the festival and poisoned the water. My mun is still thinking about making me sick or not, and what symptoms. Apparently the idea of Jack frost with fever is hilarious. [He is not amused.]
no subject
He looks somewhat relieved. While he doesn't like the idea of someone poisoning the water, it doesn't sound like it could be fatal. That's what ultimately matters. (Although he's hoping Jack's mun decides not to make him sick, since by the moon, he can just imagine the fuss Jack would put up.)
Although the whole spy thing confuses him. He creates a big question mark. Why's there a spy in your game? What's going on?]
no subject
Another moment passes while Jack tries to guess what Sandy is asking about this time. It's not always obvious for him, okay!!!]
Youuu... are asking about my game? The Norse gods bring people from different universes to fight their war against the giants. We're also supposed to bring color back to the city, which is gray. ...there are gray children too. [He lets the snowballs fall, frustrated.] Sandy, they... they are just the saddest view.
no subject
At the thought of gray children, Sandy frowns. Colorless children? There's something so unnatural about the idea that it makes him shudder a little.
The image of a paintbrush and question mark appear over his head. He could either be asking how to color the children or if Jack has thought to try painting them over. The perils of Pictionary.]
no subject
Apparently we can help them with our emotions. We have to be social and stuff. Go around, visit all the parts of the city, interact with them. [A smile appears when he thinks about his latest shenanigans.] I took a bunch of children -gray and colored- to paint the city with crayons. You would've liked their doodles, lots of imagination going on.
