So you're trying again and you've got somewhere in mind to send me. I can't say that I'm too pleased about this development. There are people I need to get back to on Enterprise or else who knows what sort of trouble may occur in my absence.
And I'm well aware of the point in which you're pulling me from. I doubt there's any time that's worse for me than being locked in the brig for treason by the captain.
...That is not an invitation to see if you can find something worse.

because DW reminded me this journal exists recently.

would you rather deal with the catboy or canonhopper? really now.
maybe. no, as long as he doesn't talk about relationship issues
[translation: Mal will doom and gloom at you forever, Chris.]
don't jinx yourself, Mal.
So, you're... on a spaceship?
...but that's his job after making sure nobody else is being stupid
getting to be stupid himself?
this is why we have the Communicator as an episode

....
you were locked in the brig for what?
no subject
Well, it was more of a misunderstanding than anything else, but the captain believed it was treason at the time.

How in the hell would the Cap'n ever suspect you of treason? That don't make any sense!

It was a complicated situation. Phlox had been kidnapped so that he could cure a plague spreading through the Klingon Empire. I had been ordered to slow down Enterprise's search. Captain Archer was unaware of the reason behind the kidnapping nor did he know of my orders. He wasn't very pleased when he found out that I had tampered with the clues that could have been used to find Phlox and even more so when he learned that I had been order to do so and keep quiet of my involvement.

Orders from who?
You aren't a Klingon spy are you?
[What the hell happened after they got home?]

In this case, I wasn't the one doing the poking, Ensign.

With all due respect, Sir, you did practically dare her to come up with something worse. I don't think there's anywhere that would count that as not poking.
no subject
She has yet to take it as a sign to come up with something worse than she all ready has. When she does, I'll count it as poking.
no subject
I guess that's why you're chief of security, Sir.

[He will forever beat himself up over this.]
XD how you doin'?
[I'm still angry]
[but you've done your time, both in the brig and emotionally]
[and the look on your face goes a long way towards helping, too]
[so there's a small amount of amused affection in my voice]
Malcolm. Breathe.

Sorry, sir.
