To suggest I "cheated" when consulting my counterpart implies the existence of rules governing interactions with and knowledge of alternate realities. No such rules exist, therefore no rules were broken.
I agree that his decision not to interfere with the current timeline is a logical one; however we both seem to have reached the conclusion that exceptions can be made. It seems likely that in both cases, this is due to Jim's influence.
Furthermore, I must object to your wish to "mash" Lieutenant Uhura and myself together in the manner of children's dolls. We require no external assistance.
