...I can't say that I blame your mun for being intimidated by you, if that's what's keeping them from finding a place. You're just going to chase people away with your attitude, you know.

[Well, actually... he sort of does. But not in the same way that Serah is mentioning. It's a matter of prestige. He wants to be considered a Sage and the only way he can do that is if he receives the admiration and affection of the people, not because he is the most able or competent mage in the world. It's a stumbling block that actually gets him thinking for more than a few seconds.]
...Look, if you're going to worry about anything that can happen, you're going to be not prepared about the thing that does. You're just embarrassing yourself with all this fretting. It's really pointless and makes you look weaker than what you probably are.
