Started out of interest in solving the fundamental problems involved in making something like, say, the Bionic Woman a genuine reality. Like the fact soft flesh always loses in a fight between leverage weight and steel.

So, advanced mechanical prosthesis? I'm guessing 'started' is a keyword.

I ended up with a biotechnology focus, but they kick you out of the clubhouse if you aren't a polymath, so a girl has her hobbies. Besides, I really wanted the shiny ray-gun.

Most of that development became more useful in integrating computer systems and new physical interfaces, after I reached a point where human testing would be required to go any further.

Human element wasn't really my gig. But I did invent clean energy and a flying robot suit.
