I know you don't feel well mundane, but you shouldn't be short with your mother. She's just worried about you. Besides, isn't she sick too? [Small frown.] She may ask the same question endlessly - and I know that can get annoying - but at least she cares enough to ask. What would you do without someone like her in your life?

[She gasps faintly and holds up her hands.] I didn't mean to make you cry. I know you love her. Just...give her a hug when she comes home, alright? Thank her for taking care of you during your surgeries and relieve her of her stress for once.

[Now she giggles behind her hand.] Be nice, Mun~. It may be hard work, but it's worth it. Now shoo!

I don't know about wise, but I know how important family is.

Some people seem to forget that. So having yourself as a reminder is nice for your mundane I'm sure.

So...like a Priest?

[preacher_man]

Yes I am a priest in a way though I am not a typical member of my faith.

[star_seeker]

Why do you say that? [She falters.] I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions. I'm just curious.

[preacher_man]

It's fine, I don't mind.

[After all he did the same to other people.]

My eyes

[He gestured to them. His eyes made him look blind.]

God gave me these eyes to be able to see the sins of those I look upon. Though only so that I may find demons who prey on humans

[She hadn't wanted to say anything. It wouldn't have been polite to ask about his eyes - even though they did interest her.]

You can see...sins? What do they look like? [Furthermore, what do demons look like? Serah isn't sure she wants to ask that.]

[preacher_man]

They're something of a stain on people. I can't see any sins on someone who has sinned less than myself however. To keep me from getting self-righteous.

[She narrows her eyes and tries to imagine what he must see.]

...can they...be wiped off? Or are they permanent?

[preacher_man]

In a way they can. If a person honestly wants forgiveness and has changed their ways then it fades.

[Knowing what she must want to know he continued-]

I can't see your sins, you are not a very sinful girl at least not now.

[star_seeker]

That's a relief. [On both accounts. Serah gives him a warm smile.] I haven't -

[Well, that isn't true.] I did one bad thing. But my sister, fiancee and friends saved me.

[preacher_man]

I won't ask what the bad thing was. Although in my faith I act as someone others can talk to in confidence. Anything you say to me I will not repeat.

I do hope your words reach your mundane, they have a great deal of kindness behind them.

She waited outside for her mom to come home, so everything is alright now. Unfortunately, her mother is sicker than she thought. So she helped her with her medication too.

It's good to hear that your mundane is helping her mother. Though do inform her that I do hope her mother becomes well soon.
