It hasn't been easy to adjust to, I'll admit.

[A smile and nod.] Well, I'm glad everything's going okay. Even with a change like that, it does sound like fun.

The Pokemon are what really make it. They're truly wonderful creatures.

Oh? [She seems to perk up a little more hearing this.] What kind of creatures are...Pokemon like?

Well... would you like to see mine?

[She holds up a red and white ball and grins just a little.]

[strengthinkindness]

[Excited? Maybe just a little bit.]

Okay!

Alright then! Come on out!

[She tosses the ball up in the air, and out pops a Dragonite, who gives Fluttershy a little wave.]

Say hello to Spike.

[A soft gasp. She wasn't expecting a dragon-looking creature.

But...it didn't look mean or anything. Actually, it looked rather cute.]

H-hello...

[It probably helps that, while much larger than the Spike they're both more familiar with, the creature is still only about seven feet tall, which is of course much less intimidating than your average dragon on Equestria.]

Yo, Shy. What's up?

Impressive, isn't he? Don't worry, he's just as gentle and relaxed as his namesake.

[That does ease her fears a little. Plus, he was a friend of Twilight's, and she trusts Twilight.

So she tries to relax as she waves shyly at the Dragonite.]

It's...nice to meet you.

I'd say the same, but I know the Fluttershy in Johto already, so...

[Spike shrugs.]

Did you want to see a few others? [She might like showing them off. Just a little.]

[Fluttershy looks over the Dragonite. He is pretty impressive, and it's gotten her curious about Twilight's other pokemon.]

Alright, let's see... How about the rest of my usual team?

[She pulls out five other balls and tosses them out, unleashing an Alakazam, a Heracross, a Magnezone (who immediately nuzzles her), a Snorlax (who immediately flops over and starts snoozing), and a Serperior.]

You can usually only carry six Pokemon with you at a time, so this group is my A-team. Impressive, aren't they? Their names are Starswirl, Megasoma, Tesla, Sapphire, and Aristo.

[Her eyes grow wide as the creatures suddenly appear.]

Wow...! You make friends with all these...Pokemon?

[friendyousohard]

And more, but I figure this is enough to get started with, right?

[She leans an arm onto Tesla the Magnezone and nuzzles it back while the others mill around. Starswirl's the first to approach Fluttershy, and he telepathically speaks to her without warning.]

From our persepective, we of course already know you. But it is nice to meet you again regardless, Fluttershy.

Oh...!

[More than a little surprise by that, but his words quickly relax her.]

It's nice to meet you all too...even if you've already met me somewhere.

[This seems like her kind of place...getting to befriend such amazing creatures.]

The Fluttershy we are familiar with is quite comfortable in our world, though she of course becomes homesick often. Though I believe the recent arrival of Applejack and Pinkie Pie will help that.

It should. Pinkie in particular can make anypony feel at home, anywhere.

[While Starswirl and Fluttershy have been chatting, Twilight's climbed on top of Tesla, who blips mechanically but seems perfectly content with this arrangement.]

[She nods in understanding; she would get homesick, but being with friends would make it a lot easier.

After a glance at Twilight, she looks at the Magnezone curiously, slowly approaching it.]

[Blip bleep bloop bloop beep.]

Tesla is... unique, in several ways.

Even we, its fellow Pokemon, cannot understand what it says.

It's very loyal, though, and surprisingly affectionate.

[She smiles as she looks at Tesla.]

It's nice that it cares so much about you, Twilight.

[friendyousohard]

[Tesla responds to that by floating over towards Shy and leaning in to nuzzle her as well.]

It's surprisingly affection oriented, for a flying hunk of metal.

[She giggles softly, nuzzling the Magnezone in return.]

Thank you for taking such good care of Twilight.

It's not a one-Pokemon job, either. Each of them is absolutely indispensable to me there.

[Megasoma smirks and puffs out his chest on hearing that, which makes Aristo roll his eyes. Sapphire still lies motionless.]
