[She glances away shyly, shuffling her hoof a little.]

[He looks at her, then smiles softly after a moment.]

You're nervous, aren't you?

[Eyes to the ground.]

[He thought a moment, then smiled.] Something tells me you're big on friendship, right?

[strengthinkindness]

[She glances up at him.] W-well yes. Friendship is very important to me.

[beingthecreature]

Okay then. Think of it this way. [He readjusts his position so he's sitting down now with his legs folded. Leaning back a bit, he spreads his hands.] There's all sorts of other people who are going to be there. Some of them may make you nervous, and some of them may look scary, or mean.

[He points a finger, waving it on the first four words of the next sentence.] But every single one is a new opportunity for friendship. Just because something looks intimidating doesn't mean it has to be, whether it's a new place or a new face.

So long as you trust in yourself-- [And he lightly touches the finger to her front.] --and think about the wonderful opportunities you can have, then you can't possibly go wrong in the end. And even if for some reason trouble does show up on the road somewhere, then trust in your friends to help you out of it.

After all, what're friends for?

[She looks at him for a long moment with wide eyes in surprise. Then a smile spreads across her face, and standing a little straighter, she nods.]

You're...you're right. There's...there's always a chance to meet a new friend.

[That's something she's learned so well...how she's met her own friends.]

All I can do...is my best. Even if it doesn't work out...as long as I tried.

[Her smile grows as she looks at Chris gratefully.] Thank you.

[He gives her a warm smile.] You're welcome.

[Her wings flutter a little with happiness. She was certainly glad to have found a new friend in Chris.]
