On the season finale (spoilers ahead)
So...i-it's really official now, isn't it? All I could've wanted was for my friends to go back to the ponies I know and love them as, but this...I don't know what to say. I just...want to thank all of my friends for being there. None of this would be possible if I didn't meet them when I came to Ponyville.
(She rolls her eyes.)
...And yes, you can add this to your list of titles for me. How many are on the list now? Princess, Touhou Girl, Jedi Knight...
...The One Free Mare? You're going to have to explain that one; I only know the term half-life for its literal definition.

Well...I guess now comes the legislation, right? Thankfully, I'm more than prepared to handle the paperwork aspect of being a princess.
What did you do when you first became a prince?

Mostly my job, Celestia and Luna handle most of the day-to-day stuff. I did start going to a lot more fancy dinners though.

It's to be expected. As a political official, you'll have to attend a lot of those; negotiations and business deals often take place during those.
At least you won't go hungry.

At least when Blueblood isn't across the room judging you.
It's really not that bad if you don't mind getting all dressed up.

From my understanding, he's to be taken with a grain of salt. Just don't let him get to you.
That's something you're already used to, isn't it? I can't imagine the captain of the royal guard wearing much, aside from the armor or formal attire.
no subject
I didn't like it too much at the start, but yeah, I guess I've gotten used it it.

[It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact Cadance said he looked stunning in it. Nope.]

flirting withcomplimenting him or anything.)Maybe you're used to it by now. I think you have to get used to a lot of things when you're royalty...like diplomacy! And sitting on a throne for extended periods of time.

I have a feeling you're probably going to pick it up a little more easily than me. And you're going to love the throne.
[When he got his, he totally didn't sit in it, pretending to bear the weight of a kingdom on a troubled brow like something out of a story. The sheer idea that he would is lunacy.]
no subject
That's only because Princess Celestia has been preparing me for this for a long time. Looking back on everything I've been through, it all makes sense now; it's still such a surprise to me.
Besides, you at least have a head start on getting used to royal traditions.

Give yourself some more credit, Twilie. The Princess was trying to get you ready for this because she knew you had it in you.
[He knew his little sister was going to do great things, but he never imagined she'd be a princess]
Yes, but I needed it.

Then I can take comfort in knowing she was right all along. As surreal as it is, I can take comfort in it.
Who knows? That might make the thrones much easier to sit on all day.
no subject
I think surreal's a pretty good word for it.
It might. I'd still go for the cushions though.
no subject
And if anything, the few extra bits for extra cushions will mean more time handling the paperwork! You can't argue with that kind of math.
no subject
Well you have fun with all that new paperwork. Just don't forget to come up and visit Cadance and I now that you're a princess.
[He doesn't want them losing touch again.]
