So...i-it's really official now, isn't it? All I could've wanted was for my friends to go back to the ponies I know and love them as, but this...I don't know what to say. I just...want to thank all of my friends for being there. None of this would be possible if I didn't meet them when I came to Ponyville.

Well...I guess now comes the legislation, right? Thankfully, I'm more than prepared to handle the paperwork aspect of being a princess.

What did you do when you first became a prince?

Mostly my job, Celestia and Luna handle most of the day-to-day stuff. I did start going to a lot more fancy dinners though.

It's to be expected. As a political official, you'll have to attend a lot of those; negotiations and business deals often take place during those.

At least you won't go hungry.

That's something you're already used to, isn't it? I can't imagine the captain of the royal guard wearing much, aside from the armor or formal attire.

Oh, the armor, I always liked. I wasn't so crazy about the dress uniform. But now, I kinda like it.

[It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact Cadance said he looked stunning in it. Nope.]

Maybe you're used to it by now. I think you have to get used to a lot of things when you're royalty...like diplomacy! And sitting on a throne for extended periods of time.

(At the very least, Twilight has been curious about how comfortable they are. Hopefully they're nice and cushion-y! She's used to sitting on her rump all day, but she needs a good seat for that.)

That's only because Princess Celestia has been preparing me for this for a long time. Looking back on everything I've been through, it all makes sense now; it's still such a surprise to me.

Besides, you at least have a head start on getting used to royal traditions.

Then I can take comfort in knowing she was right all along. As surreal as it is, I can take comfort in it.

Who knows? That might make the thrones much easier to sit on all day.

It might. I'd still go for the cushions though.
