Successful Nightmare at thewake

Yes, it was rather successful wasn't it? This is what I need to start doing more in city. And once my Bending is stronger, giving nightmares will be easy for me once more. Too bad that boy had that terrible accident after waking up from my nightmare.

...What? I didn't plan to have him impale himself on a piece of wood after waking up from it. It was his fault for sleeping up in a tree in the first place. Besides, I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity like that.

I enjoyed the nightmare yes, but other than that, it was all an accident.

[He lifts his hands.]

[Pitch pauses, trying to choose his words carefully.]

He has to be killed in order to be helped. With his... condition.

Sandy floats up until he's at Pitch's eye level, glaring at the taller spirit. Had to be killed in order to be helped? That... doesn't make sense. Sounds a lot like Pitch gave someone a nightmare, that person got hurt because of it, and the whole shebang ended with said person dying. Or having to die soon.

[Oh he knew he'd react this way, but he keeps an even head and takes a safe step back and away from the smaller spirit.]

He's 'rebooting'. These things inside of him, called nanites, are trying to save his life. In doing so, he becomes a monster, and destroys anything, and anyone, in his path. In order to stop this from happening, he must be killed.

He comes back of course, thanks to my game's dynamics.

[Of course he's going to react this way, hearing about nightmares and death in the same situation. Sandman doesn't play around.

Buuut he does listen to the rest of Pitch's explanation, posture loosening as the other man continues. What kind of world does this man come from that something inside his own body would do such a thing to him? Sandy breathes a little sigh of relief, glad to know that the man will return and that his death isn't Pitch's fault. Well, not really. Sort of.
