Okay, I really can't believe that I have to say this, but you might want to think about slowing down just a little. You keep complaining about "mood whiplash" but they're my feelings getting pulled all over the place. There's fake dates and accidental stabbings and sort-of adoptions and that--that thing with the Emperor that I don't want to talk about...

Just take a step back, okay? Give the stripey guy a chance or something! I promise I won't be jealous.

There are always things to learn. Though I do suppose it would make sense, when you did not expect to become a Guardian.

And yet giving up that sort of selfishness gave you much greater rewards.
