It's the way Nautilus works. You can go home, but it supposedly feels like you're watching your life as a vidshow. So while the her that's been there wants to spend whatever time they both can spare with Terry, the her at home is not talking to him because of the last five missed dates.

Nautilus is the setting of the game she's in. Multiversal hub, sentient location, the usual. They call it a "higher plane of existence", but the ones who have ascended the highest are all either juvenile or homicidal.
