Well, turning someone into a vampire is called "the Embrace." And they call my particular clan "the Lunatics." Which is only slightly justified.

Werewolves call us "licks."

Well, Lunatics because my particular clan is prone to getting visions. And going insane. It's a whole Cassandra thingy.

And they call us "licks" because Cainites lick the wounds they inflict with their teeth, in order to heal them.

It's kinda gross to them, I guess. Which is funny. Since dogs lick other things...
