Now you know I’d do anything for Andy, but that? I don’t know. I just don’t see why it’s necessary. I mean, I’ve always been able to help him just fine the way I am now. How would being… human make any difference? Sure, it has its advantages. We could actually talk to each other for once… B-but I wouldn’t know what to even say to him!

Ugh, this is ridiculous. We shouldn’t even be discussing the idea!

Wha, wait a minute. How did you know my...?

[She points to her mun.]

Miss writer is very kind to me, she says it's because I'm so little.

What? No, I didn't say...! They're not... It's just a different sort of love, that's all. They like to play rough with their toys, more than I'm used to. [But thankfully they're no Sid.]

[Nearly scared the stuffing out of him, but he's far more interested in you, Alice.]

I bet you treat your toys mighty nice.

Oh yes! Miss Writer always gives me my stuffed rabbit, Basil, in all of my games! He's my favorite toy! Would you like to see him!

Like you even need ask! I'd love to meet him.

[Alice holds out a stuffed white rabbit in a little waistcoat with a pocket watch.] This is Basil, my sweet little rabbit! I have other toys but Basil is my favorite! He looks just like Mr. Rabbit!

[Not very lively fellow, is he? Maybe he's shy? Woody looks up at the plush in wonder.]

Mister Rabbit?

Have you ever met him, Sheriff? Mister Rabbit was the one who led me to Wonderland. Basil looks almost exactly like him.

'fraid not, but he does remind me of another toy I once knew. Ah, Basil that is.

Wonderland... What's it like there?

Oh it's terribly mad! Everyone there is! Nothing is at all as it seems!

I would think it to be hard to speak with someone so awfully mad.

Do you visit often?

I'm not sure you could say "visit" as it was my own dream...

Your imagination can take you anywhere, should you let it.

Oh yes! I love to play pretend! Even though sometimes not everyone wants to play it with me...

I know what that's like.

But, you're a toy. Why wouldn't someone want to play pretend with you?

Why play with me when there are newer toys to choose from?

[Forgive her, Woody, as she picks you up.]

Oh now, that won't ever do. Who says newer toys are better? I've had Basil for years, and Miss Writer has stuffed animals from when she was a little girl.

[She needn't worry; he's completely unfazed by the act.]

Whoa, now! Hey, wait just a minute. I never said that. [No, he definitely didn't said they were better.] All I meant was they're usually favoured over old ones.

I think you're lovely, Sheriff. And just as many people prefer old toys over new ones.

Not at all Sheriff! Ah! So you're going to a place with your owner?

I'm already there! And it's great. I've even talked to him a few times. N-not in person, of course but still! [He tries not to think of the consequences, if Andy were to ever realize just who he was... It's really only a matter of time.]

Oh I would so terribly like to know what my toys thought of me. But at they same time I'm so worried that they wouldn't like me!

What makes you think they wouldn't like you?

Well... what if they don't like the games we play?

I... well, but what! I do want my toys to like me after all. Do toys like tea parties?

[So long as you don't dress them up in little hats and aprons and call them Mrs. Nesbitt...] What's not to like? I've been to a café in Paris with a porcupine, a dinosaur, and a unicorn and not one of us didn't have a good time.

Well, we never went to a cafe in Paris, but Basil was the king of rabbits and we were seeking his favor at the palace for trade between the rabbit and cat kingdom. I was an ambassador from the cat kingdom, you see with Kitty Prince! Oh but then the horrible hunters interrupted us in the middle of our tea!

[He gasps, fully absorbed in her story.] Then what happened?

Well! Prince Kitty had gotten a previous letter from his advisor, Lady Lyla that there was such an attack being planned by the hunters! Prince Kitty had his royal knights lie in waiting and as soon as we were attacked they sprang from the shadows. Oh it was such an epic struggle, Sheriff! We were rushed to safety by the guard but King Basil simply couldn't let his knights fight alone! He rushed into the fray brandishing his sword of valor!

And... And...?

King Basil was nearly defeated by the hunters! He was on his back, just about to be killed but then Prince Kitty came in to help and then I did as well. We defeated the hunters and King Basil was so touched by Prince Kitty's and my assistance he was willing to do anything. The kingdom of rabbits and cats has been peaceful ever since! But! I've heard from Prince Kitty, Lady Lyla is looking into the attack, trying to see who sent them and how they could have possibly known about our super secret meeting!
